So... I assume people have hyped out of Rosalina and are back to their usual ways now?

Actually, one thing that changed for me is that I'm starting to prefer Avatar over Chrom.

What do you guys think? Looking for a little input. I'm considering fully updating my roster with Avatar alongside Marth and Ike.

I am still hyped, I even made a Rosalina avatar club and changed my avatar and location. Will probably change my signature to something Rosalina-related too.

Ah that's good to hear. Yup I'm also still very excited for her too, she will most likely be the first character I will try out once I get my hands on the game. ^_^

I'd keep Chrom over Avatar, but it's your "Wish Roster" after all. You can do whatever with it.
I know you try to keep it likely though. I think that Chrom and Roy are the frontrunners for the spot though.

I'm still pretty neutral on her, but she does look like a lot fun to play as.

Pretty much went through the whole reveal hype cycle

First we hype over said reveal, second we decipher who is possibly hurt by this reveal, third we laugh at people who are angry about this reveal, four see how this reveal can apply to other charecters in terms of the reasons why sakurai choose that charecter, five fall back into old habits till new reveal.

Eh, not really. Everyone gets hyped with each new Smash Bros. because that means that there's an ever so slight chance that their favorite character will appear. Though I was never fairly confident in Waluigi appearing, I was very hyped for the chances that he would. And I'll undoubtedly be the same way when Smash 5 is under development. As well as all the Geno fans.

But Rosalina is far more important overall, being not only in both SMG games and PLAYABLE in SM3DW, a mainstream Mario game, but many Mario spin-offs as well.
Geno's been in one game and hasn't shown up since (besides a cameo in Superstar Saga).
So I mean, Rosalina is far more plausible.

I don't know anymore. To be perfectly honest, I really expected Bowser Jr. over Rosalina in terms of "likeliness." Maybe Avatar has the edge with unique moveset potential.

When I do eventually present my thoughts on Impa's chances, I'm going to put together a thought out arguement. I'd rather not just jump from A to Z. But that day isn't coming for a while. Like, not till the next character reveal.

Most Mario characters are built around platforming. Geno and Bowser jr. would have unique movesets, but their overall feel sort of falls in line with others in the series. Geno has a much different feel and far different abilities compared to a lot of the Mario cast, so if you were going to pick purely off of a unique character Geno would be pretty high on the list.

I think the criteria Sakurai is going for newcomers is:

-Popular, at least somewhat I guess.
-Unique.
-Important to his/her own series.
-I have no idea.

This fits Mega Man, Villager, and Rosalina & Luma. Wii Fit Trainer doesn't really count because she was a WTF character anyway.

People who complain about Diddy bringing up Impa yet respond to Diddy when he brings up Impa have little business complaining, it just perpetuates things. If you don't like it, don't acknowledge it. Or ignore Diddy.

As for Geno, I can see why people want him, imo I think he's pretty awesome. I'd be very happy to get him. But they shouldn't anticipate him or really convince themselves that he has any kind of chance. But he'd be pretty cool as a character.
