You can have any excuse for make a mario game, it doesnt matter, bowser and peach are just the most used.
But cranky is different, is a great part of the experience, is what gives flavor to the game and a great part of dkc idendity.

Dixie and K Rool may be more important for the argument, but for the actual game, they really are just excuses.
And well, cranky actually start the whole donkey land series so...

Eh...
I don't know how DK can't be DK without Cranky but Mario can be Mario without Bowser or Peach.

Hopefully another veteran reveal this week. Or closer to release at least (finally) Zelda for the Japanese release of A Link Between Worlds this month....

But that's just me hoping, not expecting because we all know how that turns out...

I actually didn't think that Cranky was too likely. However, he was one of the bigger reveals at VGX, apparently that is a good thing. I still think ******-Diddy is far more likely, but Cranky has a shot at the very least. So he will probably be an assist trophy.
