I can't imagine Porky would be the next Earthbound character because I don't know how he would get a solid moveset. If they brought him in his spider mech it would be kinda cool but I don't see him as a simple character. I know there are attacks he used in Brawl like the lazer and robot Porkys, but I feel he is just better suited as a boss imo. If I could choose villains, they would be Bowser Jr., Magolor from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and instead of Ridley, Sylux.

I'm an avid Dixie supporter but i have to disagree. K. Rool has an untapped amount of potential; ranging from his move pool, personality, bizarre plots and costumes, etc. it could also serve to reboot the character back to the forefront. As well, adding characters based on the fact they are a female is is a faulty argument. We need characters that earn their right to be in Smash; not to fill a demographic.

I'd have to disagree. Dixie does have potential, particularly because of her ponytail, but would also likely share several moves with Diddy Kong, being physically similar to him.

And King K. Rool indeed has far more potential. His abilities have varied greatly throughout his appearances. He can throw his crown like a boomerang in the first DKC, and summon a rain of cannonballs (or rather, Kannonballs being weapons used by the Kremling Krew) from the sky. In DKC2, he has a blunderbuss that can shoot spiked Kannonballs, a variety of gasses that can effect the kongs in strange ways, has a jet that allows him to dash around the area quickly, has a vaccum feature, and even lets him turn invisible, among many other things.

And the notion of needing more females has always held no truth. Characters need to truly earn the right to be in Smash, requiring they must be very relevant to their series and having potential. Although Dixie has potential and has appeared in the most recent entry in the DK franchise, her potential is not as high of that as K. Rool's, and although K. Rool has not appeared in a new game in few years, that doesn't mean Nintendo has simply discarded his character entirely. K. Rool was the first villain in the DK franchise, (not counting Mario in the DK. Junior arcade games) and, is still the main villain of the DK franchise and his potential is something that Sakurai could not possibly overlook.

I don't know about you, but I for one would actually like both Dixie and K. Rool to get in the next Smash, and DK is easily the next best choice for a franchise to have a total of four characters.

I understand where you're coming from for Porky, but he certainly could work out as a playable character. He wouldn't be as simple to play as like Ike per say. But he would be more of a technical fighter, like Olimar. Not every character is a simple fighter, and more unique and diverse characters are more than welcome to be added into the roster.
When it comes to Porky against his competition (which is basically the Masked Man), the only thing really against him is popularity (because the Masked Man has tons of that).

But I don't understand why you don't see Ridley, could you please explain why? I'd really like to know.

Morbid liking everything as usual. I believe the Super Smashboards Brawl roster was finished a few days ago.

Less epic fights than usual, and in their place there were short user pairing fanfics. (which I personally found disturbing) I suggest you avoid reading a few pages back.

And I suggest you take a look a the Smash 4 official website, that is, if you haven't checked it since Nov 6. Marth was confirmed, and a few days after his reveal a Super Mairo Galaxy stage was confirmed.

I tried posting this to the fossil fighters thread but it doesn't want to listen to my attempts to post.

It seems this Nintendo owned series which I've never heard of is getting a third game on the 3DS. Do we think this series is significant enough to get more than an assist trophy?

And his special moves and final smash should be these.
Standard Special - PK Beam- Readies a fast and bouncing beam, which can be angled in any of the 8 directions (gets stronger when charged).
Side Special - PK Brainshock- Casts a slow pulse forth, which can induce Confusion (causes dizzyness).
Up Special - 4th-Dimension Slip - Teleports to the desired location. This gives Ninten a 100% chance of escaping.
Down Special - PSI Power-Shield- Engulfs himself in a protective shield for a little bit. This protects him from all attacks such as physical and energy based attacks. However, using too much will wear Ninten out. Final Smash - PK Techno- Ninten jumps in the air then fires intense blasts of PSI all over the stage. The attacks direction can be controlled If you do not press the attack button, Ninten will again shout "PK Techno!" and shoot a powerful beam (similar to Lucario's Aura Storm).

I agree with this, but it wouldn't make a lot of sense for someone so similar to not be a clone.

My move set would be

Neutral Special: PK Brainshock (Like PK Freeze, but stuns you)
Side Special: PK Beam (Like PK Fire, but electric with unlimited traveling distance)
Downward Special: Power Sheild (Same as counter)
Upward Special: PK Thunder (functions as it does in Smash 64 in Melee and also stuns people)

imo, Ninten is the only reason MOTHER would even get a third rep and redesigning him isn't an issue at all. My only concern is that MOTHER 2 is so similar to MOTHER1 in terms of both style and characters that Sakurai might not see it necessary. Ness kind of represents the first 2 games and protagonists so I guess we'll have to see how Sakurai feels.

He's also made more appearances and is better known.

Neither does making 2 characters that are so different have the same moveset, look at Captain Falcon and Ganondorf.
For similarities pretty much it is just plot-wise getting the Eight Melodies and Giygas being the main villain and I feel the canonical differences outweigh the similarities.
