We've got so many weak, fast projectiles that we should get a strong, slow projectile to break the mold.

I agree, though I think a slow projectile would fit Ridley or K.Rool more than Ganondorf.

I think Ridley, K. Rool and Ganondorf could use a strong, slow projectile. Ganondorf could use the energy ball. And perhaps be able to aim it in any direction, though don't let it be controllable like Snake's S-special.

Ridley could spit multiple fire balls at once, but they could all move slow and scatter a bit. A cool down time for the fire balls should be used as well. Make it kind of like an overtime charge attack maybe? Like Wario Waft and R.O.B.'s laser. Over time Ridley will be able to spit more fireballs at once.

K. Rool? Maybe his blunderbuss could shoot Kannonballs that move in an unusual manner. Moving backward a short distance then moving forward a greater distance, then repeating that behaviour. (IIRC his Kannonballs and gasses could indeed move like that in DKC2)

Ridley and his homing slow-moving fireballs from Metroid 1.

....not exactly strong, but can rack up a lot of damage in excess.

I don't see why Galaxy needs a HD remake.

Does Ocarina really need ANOTHER remake/re-release?

It's been on N64(obviously), Gamecube's Zelda anniversary disc, Wii Virtual Console and 3DS now, with the latter having updated graphics. It'll probably be released for the Wii U Virtual Console too before long. Basically been on every home system since it's original release and the latest handheld.

But I agree, it's a bit TOO early for a Galaxy HD remake, as beautiful as I imagine it would look.

(Can we even have a remake of Banjo or Goldeneye now Rare's stuck with Rare?)

I'm just saying that the game is readily available almost everywhere already.

I was under the impression Ocarina of Time 3D counted as a remake more than a re-release. Am I incorrect on this?

If not; we've had one less than two and a half years ago, which is why I think it's a poor choice to be considered for a HD remake, at least for the time being.

Ocarina of Time 3D is a remake and I agree with that is too soon for another one, but.

I'm just saying that the game is readily available almost everywhere already.

While this is why people want re-releases, I don't think it's the main reason for wanting remakes.

I would of called it Warlock Stomp. Maybe its not the best name, but I'm trying. I would like to see some kind of ground pound/stomping type move used for Ganondorf, I feel like that would still fit his powerhouse character type. I'm sure that there is some kind of way that it can be made differently than Bowser or Yoshi's.

The first question I'd ask is his stand on being relevant, really. Because one stigma that plagues speculation is what is the hottest new toy on the block and being the newest hot thing with the cool cats will guarantee a spot.

This is definitely the type of question that I feel is most urgently in need of an answer (Although that definitely have been confirmed by Sakurai to be a factor when choosing Pokemon newcomers)

Notice that the sword spins form the infinity sign... and notice that it takes place on Pyrosphere... it means it will be forever before Sakurai finally reveals Ridley's fate when the game actually comes out.

I highly doubt we'll be getting a Direct with no mention beforehand. Nintendo runs those, not Sakurai. Just because it is the "perfect" time to reveal Little Mac, Pac-Man and Mii doesn't mean they're going to.

Personally I think Newcomers aren't going to be revealed with game releases. Not that it means anything, but if for example, Wonder Red were a newcomer, Wonderful 101's release was the perfect time to reveal him. We'll just have to wait and see. That's another reason why I don't think we'll get anything but a picture or stage pertaining to the release of SM3DW.

I doubt this as well. Not only does A Link Between Worlds come out, but it is F-Zero's anniversary month ( I think), so it's possible we get Zelda and Captain Falcon.

Well isn't it true that clones are very easy to develop after their original character is made?
It should explain why Toon Link was shown pretty early to promote Wind Waker HD.
It took nearly a month to do Peach, Olimar, and quite possibly Luigi (Although he is pretty similar to Mario, maybe its the new moves like the flutter jump Sakurai is giving to Luigi that made him took a month).
So possibly if Captain Falcon is being done developed, Ganondorf can easily be developed to promote A Link Between Worlds.

Have you ever asked anybody that?
I've been asking many people if they would rather have "Alternate versions of playable characters be playable" or "Completely new characters with the alternate versions of existing characters being alternate costumes".
Everybody I asked preferred having completely new characters. Whether we actually got the costumes or not.

I have asked many people if they wanted characters like Pichu, Dr. Mario, and Toon Zelda actually playable and they said yes. And again we have already been given these completely new characters on the original roster so nobody is going to care if the DLC is just alternates. DLC should be for extras. There are people who actually want those characters playable even before original ones, so don't act like they don't exist. How many original characters do you need before deserving alternates get a chance? Sometimes Sakurai adds characters he feels necessary in particular circumstances. It's not all about fan requests. You're saying nobody would buy DLC if it was just alternate forms of characters which is pure bull****. Tons of people would buy it because it's not only more characters, but people they like. You are suggesting that nobody would buy it because nobody wants to play as Pichu, Dr. Mario, or Toon Zelda. Well guess what they do. And it would take less time than making original characters that wouldn't really fit as DLC and actually have a chance in the original roster of this game or the next unlike alternate forms of characters that deserve playability, but wouldn't normally have priority.

You're making many claims without any evidence. Smash's user base is far beyond Smashboards, so don't use it as your only source.

Mega Man X can't be a costume for Zero, but that still worked out in Marvel vs Capcom because they have the same build. So Pichu would still be an easy costume to make.

Lol, what? You said it worked because they have the same build. Pichu & Pikachu do NOT have the same build and that's why it doesn't work as a costume. You're honestly trying to say that if we gave Pikachu clothing or a pallete swap that he's look remotely like Pichu when he doesn't have the head, ears, size, or body. Yeah, that sounds easy to make.

Not Toon Zelda on the other hand, but I never SAID Toon Zelda should be an alternate costume. So I fail to see your point there.

It's exactly like that. DLC would be for extras so it would be plausible.

Not entirely. They wouldn't affect the main game as much as the already programmed characters because they haven't been programmed into it. Say you have 5 Pokemon and you added a 6th, that would be unplausible in the main game, but since it's simply an extra that doesn't go through all the same stuff as an original it is plausible.
