I assume that it will start off with them fighting and then they'll team up. Generic Crossover encounter.

What's cool about this crossover is that it's two crossovers in one since the FE cast doesn't normally interact with other Lords from succeeding games. So we'll get to see Ike pair up with Sigurd for the first time as well as Ephiram be a boss as usual and take down some Demons.

I didn't recognize any of the protags from the SMT cast as I'm still rather new to the series but I look forward to seeing what they can do.

Anyway I heard it was gonna be a full on RPG not SRPG, which I think is the better decision.

I'm looking forward to seeing the FE cast as well as the SMT demons in Glorious HD models. I'm glad it's on the WiiU.

He then, on earth, established himself as Satan, and became 'the adversary' to humanity just to piss God off and gain adoration. Lucifer was the 'bringer of light' cause God blessed him to be the most beautiful, most powerful angel, but he choose to be a ***** instead. It could totally be that the Christians are wrong on this, as I don't even believe the Bible was very well translated for example.

But yeah... Am curious about the game as well. Might give SMT a shot on the SNES.

Well it's theology, mostly the legends and traditions of the religion. Christianity expanded a lot on the legends that were already around in early human history. In fact the Old Testament is a composition of stories and legends that were passed down orally for centuries, such as Noah's Ark (it's referenced in the Epic of Gilgamesh) and the Garden of Eden. Most of them serve as a sort of moral story, the Lucifer story was such as tale as it deals with how arrogance and pride can tarnish even the most saintly.

I remember reading that Satan was supposed to be inspired by the stories of Hades/Pluto as Romans had to get adapted to Christianity and thus the religion adapted a lot of their beliefs into the religion such as Hell and the Afterlife in an attempt to facilitate the transition. There are a lot of similarities, however Christianity added a Dualist Twist where there were TWO different afterlives depending on the sort of life you lead, where Hell is a bad place to be unlike in Roman beliefs. This had a significant impact on society at the time as people began to be much more mindful of their actions and it gave the church much more power. Purgatory wasn't added till much later, around Dante's time as he's one of the first to mention it.

Now to avoid a religious debate I wanna make it clear that I'm no Atheist, nor am I saying Christianity is a lie, I'm just pointing out the origins of a lot of the beliefs. In the end, all religions have a similar origin, which shows just how absurd religious wars really are.

EDIT: A persona rep wouldn't have a chance unless they add the characters from all four games to the crossover. (You'd have a better chance at seeing Yu Narukami entering Playstation All-Stars)

The weird thing about Roy is that his mother can only be Ninian (dragon girl with blue hair) in the ending where she's not sacrificed to seal the Dragon's gate. If that doesn't happen his mother has to be a mystery noblewoman since Lyn goes back to Sacae (or whatever her province is called).

Roy was meant to be born apparently.

Ninian, yeah, that's her name. That's who I think his mom is as well, it makes the most sense as you could see a bit of chemistry between her and Eliwood slowly build up in FE7 (just as you could see a hint of Chemistry between Ike and Elincia in FE9 and 10). Lyn I always felt went back to Sacae and just continued to train and live a peaceful life, just how Ike disappeared at the end of 10 to become a heroic wanderer.

Dunno but for some reason I can see Lloyd's reception being mixed at best.

Arguably that can accounted to the niche status in the west, lack of appeal as a character, or maybe slight redundancy problems with something like Xenoblade. Whatever excuse comes up, don't expect a lot of hurrahs from a lot of people.

Also don't be surprised if we get those idiots that think Lloyd is some sort of Fire Emblem character and they wonder why the character is getting so much publicity.

Hahaha, that sounds incredible, what a badass. That reminds me of how much I loved going physical build on the protag in Devil Survivor, you felt like such a hard *** taking down demons with your fists.

I really should get around to playing Nocturne. I keep hearing such great things about it.

I used to think the same before and that's why I didn't first bother with ToS. But later on after seeing more of it being shown around here and some other sites and being held up as a popularly sold cult classic game on Gamecube, I don't really think Lloyd or his games as that niche or not well-known though: the very game he's from is quite a cult classic everyone has got to hear in form or another back in Gamecube-era and it even went on to walk at the Wii with the sequel (though I think we could more of see it as a sidestory than a true sequel...).
It's also notable to see him being even loved by some parts of the Smash-community since I see him at times integrated on Smash-fangames or even been worked as a custom character for Brawl, which more heightens to me how much Lloyd is actually wanted to be seen in Smash.

And I guess by lack of appeal as a character is pretty much same as asking him to be anything like Pac-Man before they can talk? Dunno. The ones who played ToS mostly like him and want to see him in Smash.
Anyway, I don't want put Lloyd up as a disastrous addition though: I think he deserves a spot in Smash along with the game he's been in. Pac-Man got his support voiced up because Namco-workers are working on Smash 4, but so can Tales Of-fans since one of the directors are doing it too. In any case, if he gets praised for his addition, he deserves it.

On the topic of drinking, I don't drink beer or most other alcoholic drinks. Part of it is personal reasons and the other is that **** tastes nasty. Seriously, I just taste the alcohol and that's even with the wines I sort of like, at least those have some class to them.

Lately, I have been seeing Pac-Man pull ahead as the de-facto Namco choice both in the West and in Japan, but he still has a lot of vocal opposition to him in both places.

Pac-Man is also becoming the most wanted third-party character after Mega Man. I think he is another character that benefits more from "expected" than "wanted", and more and more people are supporting him because they see him as "likely" and psychologically people want to back someone/something they see as a winner.

That's not saying a lot because it's no man's land after him.

I don't think there is enough demand. No one wants him. Sakurai wont add him for this reason.

I wonder how many of the "WELL WE NEED MORE FEMALES" people wear fedoras.

Black Rum is good, white rum is whoa.. strong strong strong (**** can hit you out of nowhere when 10 minutes before you're like : I'm cool bro, no need to worry about ME). I liked Guinness most out of beer, but yeah, took a while to 'get' the taste (drinking fast helps, and if you're clubbing: saves A LOT of money). Also, if I drink, it's mostly NOT for the taste.
