Chrono: Well there ya go. I still hate when people say "Tales is such a niche series compared to other 3rd parties and blah blah" in GameFAQs. Obviously they are missing bit too much due just looking highly upon other series.

Oasis and Diddy: Sonic was a mess-up in Brawl and Snake I never really didn't care about... though now I see him portrayed as a "Konami All Star" of Nintendo here ( and there) paired with Zamus and so on) which just does injustice to Simon Belmont or Goemon.

I think it'd be a lame memory hog. Just a simple aesthetic thing that really doesn't matter that takes up too much memory.

It works well in games like Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat, but I don't see it necessary for Smash personally.

I really think Sonic's moveset will be a whole lot better in the next game, being that they don't make it in like a day.

Hopefully if he returns thats the case. However, I enjoyed not seeing a lot of Sonics on Brawl...

Speaking of FE4, during me checking around FE-stuff, I had once a random thought about Celice being a longtime friend with Cless Alvein from Tales Of Phantasia.
Goshers nowadays it's bit grown to my headfanon. Something supporting this is due how both of their games were japan-only and were (and still are) from well-acclaimed RPGs in Super Famicom. I thought that maybe this would spring them to meet around those times. Think like "animated actor" with hint of Wreck It Ralph sprinkled to it. I dunno but both are type that would get so along and become like really close best friends.

From what I've read about Cless, he's fond of puns, which I bet Celice laughs at loudly and clearly in amusement, compared to most others who'd just keep being poker-faced. Oh man, I can't handle my feels to think how much of a brotp they would be.

Sigurd should've met Ike and the Greil Mecenaries and make sure Alvis' *** would be kicked majorly. With Soren around, I doubt they'd fall in any sort of trap.

Oh ****ing **** thats right! O.o Will FE4 characters actually be in then? Kinda seems they're leaving them out right now.

Hmm, have a hard time deciding who's more awesome between Ike and Sigurd now...

Yeah. I like the idea of third party characters, but only because they're symbolic. So Sonic? Wonderful. Shows how Nintendo and Sega have a thing that will hopefully turn into purchase of Sega. Snake? Alrighty. He comes from a company that I don't really think deserves a representative for smash bros, but he makes a great addition to the roster and has a good reason to be there so that's fine.
Now, those characters aside. There's Pacman. He comes from a company that I wished used him as much as Nintendo uses Mario, or Sega uses Sonic, but all the same he's been a there representing his company since before mario were even around. He seems like a wonderful addition to the roster.
Then due to popular request comes Megaman. A great character from a bunch of great games, making his way over a currently very rocky road. Now Nintendo and Capcom don't cooperate very much as far as I know. But Megaman getting in the game would be because of popular demand. I don't think, being Capcom's current plans for him, that they would say no to free publicity. In fact I think they'd like to hear that he's being missed. Im all for both of these characters.

They're leaving out a ton of characters on both the Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem side. Although I can't speak for the FE side, I can say that they're missing quite a few Nintendo exclusive SMT characters.

Was kinda happy to see Roy though, cause that makes me believe they wont completely leave out Japanese Emblems content.

Shin Megami Tensei is an amazing franchise of JRPGs. It has many spin offs also. One of which is a Nintendo DS exclusive series that's a Strategy game series like Fire Emblem. SMT also falls under the dungeon crawler genre.

The stories are usually really dark and a good portion of their cast is a bunch of religious deities like God/YHVH, Lucifer, Odin, etc.

No. God is a villain in the series though. Lol

Satan and Lucifer are separate characters that you can recruit in SMT2.

It's a pretty complex series.

Well then it should be interesting to see whatever kind of game this turns out to be.
Sounds promising though

The character in my avatar is one of the religious deities that appear in the series. Thanatos the god of death. The version in my avatar is from the Persona series.

On the topic of drinking, I don't drink beer or most other alcoholic drinks. Part of it is personal reasons and the other is that **** tastes nasty. Seriously, I just taste the alcohol and that's even with the wines I sort of like, at least those have some class to them.

ANd like Manly, I don't drink them so I can stay in shape. I've always stuck with mostly water with occasional soda, but I've acquired an interest in tea recently.

Lately, I have been seeing Pac-Man pull ahead as the de-facto Namco choice both in the West and in Japan, but he still has a lot of vocal opposition to him in both places.

Pac-Man is also becoming the most wanted third-party character after Mega Man. I think he is another character that benefits more from "expected" than "wanted", and more and more people are supporting him because they see him as "likely" and psychologically people want to back someone/something they see as a winner.
Compare him to Megaman who is actually wanted, which has probably only risen after Marvel ignored him.

Seeing as we are talking about everything lol how's about dat battle damage/fatigue idea? I'd like it!

As long as it doesn't interfere with gameplay, I'm fine with it.

Satan and Lucifer are one and the same however. Lucifer was just the name Satan had when he was still an angel of God. How does it work that the actual God is a villain though??

In the game Lucifer is a seperate character from Satan. So there's two "Satans."

Actually, both God and Lucifer are villains. They hate each other and have a never ending war but you never see it. You do go to battle fields during the war.

Now I'm really confused... It made more sence in FE10, where it's made apperant that Ashera is not really a 'full God' thus could be beaten, but am still confused about how that would work? Still, it's an interesting concept for a story though...

I've always wanted Pac-Man in Smash for a long time. Only reason I've stayed quiet about it from 2008-2012 was because I believed that he had no chance of getting in because I didn't think Namco would have anything to do with Smash. I've only become more vocal about Pac-Man because I now felt more confident in Pac-Man's chances of getting in Smash because Namco is working on SSB4. I'm sure there are more Pac-Man fans who have felt this way before they found out about Namco working on SSB4.

So, Pac-Man is wanted/expected by the Pac-Man fans and unwanted/expected by the Pac-Man opposers and Lloyd/Tales fans. That's how I see it.

Come E3 and both Pac-Man and Lloyd are confirmed. =P

How would any of you react?
I'd be quite happy. It'd mean I get to actually have something to look more forward to instead of just looking on Pac-Man and wondering indifferently how he'd play like.

I guess both sides would be happy until Pac-Man's fans/other 3rd party supporters bicker uponTales Of-fans by calling Lloyd "unnecessary fodder" or " a party pooper parasite", saying he should have given a slot for 3rd party to someone else. Saying he's undeserving and doesn't belong to Smash, yada yada?

Dunno but for some reason I can see Lloyd's reception being mixed at best.

Actually, according to the Bible and Christian Theology, Satan and Lucifer are two different entities, however many people get this confused in modern times.

Lucifer is Latin for "bringer of light" who was God's brightest Angel who fell down from heaven for being too proud.

Satan however, has always been a demon who opposed God that lived in the Lowest circle of Hell and rules over all the demons. Satan is Christianity's equivalent to Hades.

I think the reason most people get them mixed up as the same one is because in John Milton's "Paradise Lost" they were the same being. However in Dante's "Divine Comedy" they're separate as they should be (I think... I gotta re-read that).

SMT is incredible, I thoroughly recommend you check it out. They span a few Genres but mostly stick to being RPGs of some sort. They began as Dungeon Crawler RPGs and are an interesting twist on the Monster Collection. What's cool about SMT is that they are generally open ended as you can align your character to different attributes usually 2 variations of the Good, Neutral and Evil, all of which have different endings. Your alignment also determines which Demons you can use.

Devil Survivor and Strange Journey on the DS are great entries. The former is an SRPG spinoff series, and the latter a dungeon crawler that sticks to the main canon. The Persona series is another spin off of the main series.

The monster desings are really cool and creative and you get to partner up with famous deities such as Thor, Amaterasu, and even Lucifer and such. If you like Pokemon, you'll likely like SMT.

What I'm curious about is how Fire Emblem is gonna mesh with it, I wanna see Atlus work with that. I have faith they'll do a great job.

I assume that it will start off with them fighting and then they'll team up. Generic Crossover encounter. I do have enough faith in ATLUS to know that they would give it a good story though.
