I noticed that people often talk about having a Stance fighter in Smash.
Ganondorf is easily the best option for this.
He can have two modes, Brawler Mode, in which he fights with his bare hands and dark magic, and Sword Mode, where he pulls out twin swords to fight ala Wind Waker. To add more depth, Brawler Mode puts in emphasis on his strength, while Sword Mode puts in emphasis on quick hits.

I suggested stance Ganodorf before it was cool. *puts on hipster glasses*

Star (or was it Chrono?) mentioning how Goroh or Black Shadow won't happen... maybe that is true. Huh. Right now I'm too excited to care about what may happen though.

Basically Sakurai said the reason Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS were mentioned in the Nintendo Direct is because of impatient fans, and that it's better to have stuff to reveal than not.

My Zelda roster prediction:

SS Link

WW Zelda / Tetra
WW Ganondorf

Sheik's style gets spiritually replaced in Impa and Tetra. Tetra is very fast, and throws daggers instead of Needles, and Impa is a more defensive 'Sheik' with magical effects on moves, like Lucario and Lucas.

Would even like to have Demise, with a moveset being a mix between Brawl's Ganondorf and Demise's boss battle in Skyward Sword. As I expect Wind Waker's Ganondorf to be almost completely different.

If Demise would be in, he should have a DLC costume for OoT's Ganondorf (replacing his lightning wave attack with a darkness wave attack, same attack basically outside of aestics). Sheik and OoT Zelda are also a DLC costume for either SS or Toon Zelda. And OoT Link and Young Link are costumes for the Links as well.

However, I do think they'll have clones on the roster because of this.

This is currently my Zelda roster, too, though I had Zelda and Impa separated.

The only way I can see Samurai Goroh in is as some sort of clone of Takamaru.

But, how in the world would that even work? The two characters don't even have the same build, and the last time I checked Goroh cannot turn invisible or shoot shurikens. If it's because both are samurai, then that fallacy. Goroh is a samurai in name only, for he's more of a criminal who preforms varies illegal crimes.

God I have such a strong unjustifiable hatred for shulk, I just cannot stand that character and I can't put my finger on why.

@Splat: Well then how was having Dr. Mario justifiable? He IS Mario. With a different profession. Paper Mario well might be in the same universe as Mario, but he's made out of paper. Therefore he's a different Mario character than the Mario that is playable in smash, and he is a Mario character that has his own series.

You know what? I say replace Pikachu with Pichu. Pikachu sucked anyway because Thunder's useless when under a platform. Replace ROB with G&W and we're good. For FE, Chrom will only be available on the initial roster. The rest of the FE reps (Cain, Levin, Niime, Moulder, Oliver, Valtome, Stahl, and Nono) will be available via dlc because Fire Emblem deserves 22 reps.

Anyway, if Goroh is a Takamaru clone, I'd be pretty mad. As already mentioned, it wouldn't make much sense. Now Black Shadow being a clone of Ganondorf, I can maybe see. Maybe. Although I'd prefer it if B.Shadow has his own unique moveset, which should't be hard. If they have the time to make a unique moveset for a character, than do it, right? But in the end, I'm not holding my breath for another F-Zero rep.

Would it really? I seriously doubt F-Zero getting ONE additional rep would do much to hurt the chances of other characters getting in.

We seem to have problems with time constraints every game. I would hate for them to spend time creating an F-Zero character model and moveset or whatever, then wind up being character short in the end from any other series.

I love tingle doe. I ordered a European copy of his game just so I could play it.

Just wanna point out, that new Monolith Soft title announced in Nintendo's new direct (that seems to be set in the Xenoblade universe) has definitely increased Shulk's chances for Smash. At least in my opinion.
