Hm... Rohins. I distinctly remember a TON of matches of him against Phanna in melee. Yes... yes... "Epic Samus Dittos (Also my 500th vid)", I distinctly remember that too. Huh? Wait a sec... Phanna=Florida. Rohins=Washington. Hm.... maybe it's just my imagination.

Rohins, I gotta say that bomb jump still helps immensely. I saw numerous situations in those videos that if it was used, you definitely would've kept that stock longer. Samus users really should start using more bomb jumping - of course it's not as effective as in Melee, but it's still truly helpful.

After realizing how poor Wi-Fi is, yeah, I agree with you two. I know it won't be enough, but at least I can brawl with an actual human player: my twin brother, Uffe.

Rohins, I saw some videos between you and Gimpyfish. They were pleasing to watch, but one thing I would like to point out for you is that you should air-dodge a bit more. When you were returning to the stage on Yoshi's Island, Gimpyfish's Sheik would continue to hit you with b-airs and f-airs.

It's not as simple as airdodging more. Gimpy and I literally played all day (9 hours?) and these are the final group of matches. I'd be willing to admit that he got in my head as he got to understand how I play.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is if I had been just "airdodging more" gimpy would have had painful answers for that since it's punishable as a behavior. Thanks for lookin out for me though and I still appreciate the advice.

The only time I played wifi was when I didn't attend smashfests and could play in person only at tournaments. I honestly hate wifi. It's not about winning or losing, it's about how piss poor the experience is.

Thanks :D We recorded a TON. It would take way too much effort to put them all up but...I think we both got plenty of material for future combo vids.

Hmm Gimpy and I were discussing the bomb's utility. Perhaps they aren't used much in those last matches but I certainly experimented a bunch with them earlier that day. They work decently at stopping some ground approaches and even lead to some interesting combos. There are many glaring weaknesses of bombs, particularly being in the morphball animation. I DO however love bomb dropping on platforms, feels like a great way to put up a trap and get into a good position (under a platform).

Maybe, but maybe he just didnt do his "omqwtfishedoing" playstyle, you know when he just does something random all of a sudden and confuses his enemies with it (aka not beeing predictable) and then strikes hard. i love that the most

I dont play competativley so i cant give advise, and i am sorry if my post sounded like i was saying Rohins is bad (which i'm not) (since this is internet i cant really tell if you were angry at my post) I was only asking friendly if he lost because samus as a character is worse then shiek? Because i have been browsing the samus forums a bit latley and i have read that she is pretty bad compared to melee samus, and that if there would be a tier list she would be pretty low on it.

samus is extremely limited - she's not just limited in killing power - she's VERY limited in approaches and once you learn how to handle the overall campy nature of her grapple/homing missile spam she's easy to shut down.

she doesn't have enough options nor does she have the ability to really finish off her opponent. samus is very very limited.

but thats why me and rohins are going to unlock super samus and ROHINS RAGE LEVELS WILL BE OFF THE CHARTS!!!!
