Frio please do bring your TV it would be most appreciated. And I don't see what the point is in bringing a ps3 when the tournament is xbox only lol
I will say this, it wasn't even said that it would be 360 only (unless I'm blind). I know that's what's mostly used, but the reason to bring a PS3 is that we also have a copy of the latest game, Continuum Shift Extend.

As for Mark, right now I'm driving Jack and then picking up the two other guys that are staying with Keith tonight. Weather permitting seeing as it's snowing like retardedly crazy, I'll hafta drop everyone off, drive back to get the TVs and we go from there. What's their size? I'll check this when I get to Jack's as I'm off work now.

Forget about the ride Brandon I'm not going to go anymore. It seems unlikely that we'll actually do doubles. Plus I have a **** ton of studying/work today and I work on Sunday so I can't do it then =/

Oh yeah sure, just say it's Xbox only and alienate every PS3 pad player out there?

:|

It would've felt better if you said you would provide several converters or something but not even that?

Inb4
"We have converters, but it's only one and it's gonna be shared between every MvC3 and SSF4 player so if you want your converter, please wait an hour."

I'm just gonna bring my PS3. Whatever.

So what is he supposed to do? Say it's PS3 only and alienate every 360 Pad player out there (which in Alberta there is more of, and that group also contains two of our best players)?

I'm just nitpicking at the wording. You don't tell people to not bring their consoles just because the current "setup" is a single system only due to lacking resources. It's like telling them "I don't even care about you other console players, we only play XBOX here. And if you don't, well sucks to be you"

I offered to bring my PS3 on my own will just because I play PS3 pad. It's not like it hinders his tournament or anything. It's not like I'm saying "hey, do PS3 only tournaments instead."

It could've been stated as "sure, it could help in maybe attracting some players that play on the PS3 instead" or "we do have converters here so you don't have to bring a PS3 (if there is some)" or hell, not respond at all because it's my own decision to bring a PS3 and as I said, it's not like it'll hinder his tournament. Because, surprise, there are people out there that play PS3 pad and don't own a stick / 360!

What if the tournament only consisted of BB cabinets? Do you think it's a wise choice to say "lol, you don't need to bring your 360s or PS3s because this tournament is STICK ONLY." It's a matter of accommodation and try not to alienate a specific group. It makes it sound unprofessional and elitist otherwise.

You guys remember how much crap went down when MLG said no wii motes? Feels the same.

It's just the specific wording and how he completely neglects the fact some people don't play on the 360 or stick. I don't even know if he has a converter still or not. But I guess no one would probably care since apparently I am the only PS3 pad player in Alberta. Sucks to be me.

If you think it won't interfere than let me ask you this, what if someone who plays on PS3 pad meets someone who plays on 360 pad. Either way, you have *****ing about not being able to play on their console of choice (either due to controller options or due to the slight differences on the systems (BB on PS3 runs about 2 frames slower, so suddenly switching from consoles can throw off timing for some players)).

Also if converters are so consistently an issue, then don't make the complaint the day before, and maybe get one for yourself as a just in case (which could also help considering that once EX comes out in NA we will be running it on 360 at my house, and I have no converters).

Fine. I concede to your point on lag (though I'd like a source since. my google-fu failed me and I'm interested in actually knowing)

But as I said, I'm nitpicking at the wording. If he had told me a legit reason why my PS3 is useless to bring, I'd be absolutely fine. Or I took it too serious and etc.

Freaking console differences and **** with their lag. How does EVO deal with using PS3s over 360s anyway. Is there a PS3 -> 360 converter or something?

If you don't want to come to the tournament then don't come, it has nothing to do with a lack of resources. if i need to buy a ps3 I will buy a ps3.

Every tournament we've held since street fighter IV has been on xbox and will continue to be only on xbox. I will tell you not to bring a ps3 if we have limited tv setups. If your not okay with that, then that is is your issue and not mine.

Further more. almost ALL of our marvel and street fighter players are playing on the 360. We have fewer people who come to our tournaments requesting ps3. So quit your *****ing.

I've never heard of that. I think he means 58 frames/second instead? Which is still weird.

Anyway, Brandon should be by in a couple minutes, and then we'll leave for the tourney. Everything should be set up and good to go by 10:30am.

Registration opens at 12pm. Tourney starts at 1pm. We will be skipping pools, so that we can still do doubles and singles and be done before 7:30pm.

2f of lag isn't that bad in BB. You can adjust for it pretty easily. The game doesn't demand you to be that precise like powershielding and such anyway. There's also an input buffer.

tbh, it's starting to scare me too >_>

Some how I did it. Probably a lot of mistakes in it, but I did it >_>

****, my internet cut out for a while there. Now to re-upload the rest.

I have you vs Te-Jay (it finished processing as I typed this post out). Don't have any other ones, though. They must've been on one of the other TV's.

friendlies were on the livestream too, mitebcool to upload
I'll see about friendlies, but Tin-Man's asked me in the past not to upload those (I still do sometimes anyways).

---

ToD2 was awesome, and I had a blast! I do have three regrets with this past tournament, however.

One, I wanted to finish singles. We had the setups to do that and more (two Wiis and three TV's went unused), but no space to put them. If we had one more table to set up 2-3 stations on, we could've finished an hour or two early.

Two, we didn't get nearly enough videos recorded. The only TV that I could reach with A/V cables was the one at the end, and that one hardly had any room to play matches on for much of the tourney. This was also a space issue.

Three, nothing was streamed. We got a small number of matches recorded, but SF and Marvel were the only games to get streamed.

Since none of these issues are a problem at our usual monthlies, we're alright on that front for a while. I'll work with Steve in more detail for the summer Animeth- FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU...

We'll be in Japan during the summer Animethon (it's on the exact same days as Sunrise)! We should still be able to work things out, and get more tables and space for Brawl (we'll definitely need it for the summer one). I'll have to leave the day-of organization and running of the tournament to someone else, but we've got plenty of time to plan things out.

If we don't take my streaming setup to Japan, I can leave it with Jamie for that Animethon. I can show you guys what to do (and unlock it so you don't need my fingerprint to turn it on).
