Bernie Mac Dies At 50

"Comedian and Chicago native Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia, his publicist confirmed.

Mac, 50, had been hospitalized for about a week at Northwestern Hospital, according to his spokeswoman. A few years ago, Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs."

He wasn't that influential, much less to call him one of the most.

It sucks when comedians die and politicians live though.

Wow. Another entertainer has passed.

R.I.P. Bernie Mac.

Edit: He was influential to some.

He was influential? I mean, it sucks that he died but he really wasn't all the influential...

But, it's always sad when somebody dies. This sucks.

He wasn't influential, but he was funny and that's what he did for a living.

So Carlin and Bernie Mac, both talented, funny, and original comics die, but Carlos Mencia and Dane Cook can propagate their plagiarism? Go figure.

Bernie Mac was always the guy that everyone knew about and loved, but didn't know they knew or loved him.

R.I.P Bernie Mac.

It is really sad to see him die, only at 50, too. He was great in his own show and Guess Who. Made me laugh quite a bit.

Rest in Peace.
