It has been said before, but I'll repeat it ONCE more, in hopes that you will finally see sense:
-Ridley has scored abnormally high on Sakurai's poll considering Japan is not as Metroid-loving as we are. I believe Stryks said he scored among the top 5.

-Size IS NOT an issue. Ridley can be resized, have you considered looking at his form in the Melee intro like we've told you SEVERAL TIMES? Not to mention Bowser automatically renders that "too big" argument moot.

-Not being a playable character, but a boss, in the Metroid games does not matter. name me a zelda game where you could play as Ganondorf, and maybe you'd have some water in that arguement.

-I'll admit that this is running a little more on speculation, but that fact that Sakurai specifically showed us a remix of RIDLEY'S theme that will be in Brawl has to make you wonder. I doubt they'd put in music for a character if that character only ended up as an AT.

-So what if Ridley's never beaten Samus in the games? That's kind of the point of bosses, they usually aren't supposed to be victorious over the main hero/heroine.

Now, if you STILL don't understand why Ridley's chances are better than you claim, then please stop saying it in a thread that is quite clearly geared for pro-Ridley people.

Oh, and one more thing...

Yeah, i read all those reasons, most are just assuptions and guesses, there is still no confirmation, and you still claim those are good enough reasons for his apperence.

Nintendo owns Ridley, and he IS originally from a video game.

Goroh is a RIVAL, not a NEMESIS. Look up the difference because I'm not explaining it. Captain Falcon has like 10 rivals, and he's from a less important series.

Sakurai said he wanted more Metroid characters and more villains. Ridley fits the bill on both.

Metroids were in two games Ridley was not in (RoS and Echoes). And, they hardly did anything in Echoes...

Besides, who gives? What moveset is a metroid going to have. Any button: energy drain. ... yay! fun character! I guess they did a bad pick on Ganondorf, because he wasn't in every game. They should have picked some generic minion. Bad choice, Nintendo. /sarcasm

Deoxys blows. They only people who wanted him were the diehard pokemon fans. People who hate metroid, have never played it, etc. want Ridley. Case-in-point: The Japanese want Ridley.

And Deoxys looks like a complete tool. You don't get characters who look much cooler than Ridley. And, another thing...they WOULD have to come up with a complete moveset with Deoxys. With Ridley...the job is pretty much done already. (see Gypsy's moveset, which you refuse to read)

Face it that
you're out numbered. More people support Ridley than people who don't and that puts the chances in his favor.

Alright, lets see if I can pump some non-n00b related discussion into this thread.

I'm thinking the Melee intro wasn't made when the character roster was completed. I think that Ridley was meant to be in Melee but, perhaps due to difficulties in his design, he was scrapped. The Melee intro could have been made when while they still thought they were going to have Ridley playable. Same could be said for Wolf, but I bet the reason he was scrapped was because Falco was more popular.

Ridley's trophy in Melee may have been the the scrapped model for his character. Also, I haven't played the Metroid games but, weren't Ridley and Kraid paired up for one boss battle? Brinstar Depths may have been meant to be Ridley's stage!

If all this were true and Ridley was indeed meant for Melee; Ridley is no doubt garunteed for Brawl. (As if he wasn't already :p)

If only Sakurai and his team were more like the developers for the Godzilla games... They actually go to some of the Godzilla forums! They've been interviewed by certain fans and tell us what monsters were scrapped from their games and why. Lots of stuff, like technical details and such.

(...Yeah, I really hope I didn't repeat what everyone already knew/thought.)

Oasis S has a Point. Ridley was probably going to be in Melee as a character, but they couldn't. If this is true, then Ridley is Bound to be in Brawl.

the thing is that its not even a matter of being outnumbered. its just common sense. if he knew nothing about Ridley it would be understandable though still stupid to whine in a Ridley for brawl thread. seriously, prior to 2 days ago, i have never played a metroid game in my life and i still could tell by this thread that theres more than enough FACT to support him being in brawl. anyone who cant see that is just ignorant at best

anyways im done with this. on the plus side it was at least about Ridley

in short yes. from now on assume every image or video relating to brawl that didnt originate from the brawl site or e3 to be fabricated. itll keep you from getting your hopes up for nothing. and you dont need to worry anyways cuz as we've been valiantly debating and defending today Ridley is virtually in brawl

Thanks to the two days of flame wars, we now have four more Ridley supporters! To those of you who don't know what to do next, we pretty much just talk about how awesome Ridley is and end each post with Ridley For Brawl! (or RFB for short). Just remember to be creative and change things up a bit. Switch between different fonts, sizes, the whole nine yards.

For instance:

RIDLEY IS TEH PWNSAUCE IN MY SMASH BROS SAMWICH!!!​

And did anyone see my pic for colbusman? He was here last week trying to tell us that "While Ridley has the most fanatic supporters, Diddy's fanbase is far superior." I've seen 5-10 faces here today who haven't been around much in the past and have shown support for Ridley against the noobs.

...Trying to tell me our fanbase is smaller. It's just that this thread goes in spurts and Caael and some others end up posting a lot here. So, it just appears that way. Anyway...I just wanted to say all that.

Edit: @Gypsy, Ridley is a pwnasaurs-rex...
