Part of the whole point of clones is that the same body type makes them take less time to animate and program. And I can't imagine Ridley having the same body type as Bowser no matter how much you stretch things.

Guys u cant actually compare ridley/bowser with ganon/falcon, ganon and falcon are human, bowser has a shell and no wings, ridley is a giant dragon like figure, sreiously how can ridley do the UpB move, will his wings be useless or what?

Ridley being abowser clone wont happen...

The only way I see Ridley being a bowser clone is if they fold up his wings... But that would be pushing it. If he couldn't fly that's half what woudl make him so great gone.

Will Ridley appear like he did in the 'Melee introduction video d'ya think?

They're quite nice, but obviously too big to show up here for most people viewing the forums.

Ridley's my biggest hope to be in 'Brawl. He'd best represent the Metroid series, has a perfect available moveset and would be a freakin' monster if designed correctly. I hope that at least one villain from every series is put in to 'Brawl. A dream match with villains would be more exciting than one with heroes.

I want to team up Ridley with Samus to get a weird universe vs universe thing. Kinda like Mario and Bowser vs Link and Ganon.

Yeah. I'd so make a tournament involving the villain/hero of each franchise teaming up to see who would win. That'd be a-w-e-s-o-m-e.

I'v been Hoping for ridley since Smash Bros 64, if he's in Brawl i would be a very happy man, but now that Dark Samus exist i think that he has only a slim choice of apearing in brawl.

P.s: Mind if i use the Ridley Sig Stryks?

Thing is, Shuma, the 'Prime sub-series where Dark Samus appears isn't as popular in Japan as the origional series was( Super Metroid etc.) so Ridley has a better chance.

I hope so, i'm not very fond of this "dark samus", And Ridley has appeared in every single Metroid Game except i guess Hunters.

Yeah. Dark Samus should be in there if there is room for one more Metroid character, but Ridley's first choice.

Ridley didn't appear in Metroid II: Return of Samus and didn't appear in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

He basically doesn't appear in sequels for some reason. But he appears in second sequels, third sequels etc.

That's a third sequel, believe me I'm anticipating it enough to know everything about it!

The whole thing about first sequels is just speculation, 'probably is just a coincidence he isn't in Metroid II and Metroid Prime II.

It's also a coincidence that I only own Metroid II, Metroid Fusion [the only Metroid I own with Ridley in it] and Metroid Prime 2. I know it's kinda dumb that I don't have Metroid Prime 1 but I thought there was no story so I bought the newer one. I guess I'll have to wait until I buy the first one.

The 1st one feels more metroid like, even tough I liked MP2 a bit more, the cutscnes, the hard bosses and dark samus, its plain awesome, yet what it lacks is important, METROIDS...

Thats what I love about MP1, so many metroids, and has the true metroid feel to it...

I know what you mean, first one feels more Metroid-like. Loved both, but the first one was slightly better.

Technically though, Dark Samus IS a metroid ^^ So Metroid Prime is one of the few Metroid games to actually feature a Metroid as the final boss (except for Fusion and M II)

Yeah, I preferred MP1. It was more atmospheric, a lot like the older games. And the lack of Ridley in MP2 was disturbing. At least he'll be appearing multiple times in MP3.

And as I've said before, I'm pissed that they kill him off in the last chronological game.

They wont kill ridley, remember the prime saga takes place between metroid and metroid 2, thus since super metroid is after metroid 2 (dont know if ridley is in metroid 2) ridley will survive, or at least theyll revive him...

I think they'll freeze Ridley since he was frozen is Fusion, which is supposed to be after MP3. I don't know if any of them are canonical though.

Well Ridley has died in every single game and he is always brought back, your point?

Also, where are those sigs from Red Exodus? The ones that look like avatars.

No, it's different in 'Fusion (I think that's it). Ridley is frozen and shattered. How could he come back from that? A little too much. It's not like it's bad he died, I was just hoping he would live on forever and be engaged in the "Ragnarök" of Metroid with Dark Samus and the Metroids.

Pft, He blows up in Super Metroid, he dies in Metroid one, he is beaten in Metroid Prime and yet he always comes back and is back in MPIII, Timelines mean nothing in a Smash game.

I know he'll be in 'Smash no matter what, but he does die in 'Fusion. But then again, 'Fusion is meant to be the last game in the story considering the nostalgic feeling and the copies of old enemies by the X Parasites. If Ridley comes back after being shattered expect him to be altered drastically, like Meta-Mechanical Super Rebuilt Ridley. Abbreviated he'll be MMSSR.

When the heck is Ridley NOT shattered in a Metroid game? The only difference in Fusion is that he was frozen first, but in both Zero Mission (if I recall correctly) AND Super Metroid you literally BLOW THE GUY UP INTO PIECES, anyways.
