Bailey, you coming in here and saying that you should be in the top 25 isn't going to do anything. Either you register to become a panelist, or just keep playing in tourneys and try to do well. Stop trying to influence the list with your wasted words.

I think I deserve the 25 spot. But PC is against this idea Cort?
I'm like 8 times better than you and I've actually beaten good people in tourny and have won money before and I don't deserve the 25 spot.

^ Is that how annoying I used to be/can be? Wow...

Remind me to shoot myself.

Bailey, there are tons of people better than you that are contenders for the last spots on a top 25 list; Tope, Plairnkk, Inui, Sol, Reik, WoZ, Lord Knight, and various other good players in the region.

It's delusional to think you'd make the list right away.

Heck, it's delusional for me to think it, and I've accomplished things. The other people have just accomplished more.

Just a note - we could use one more from New England.

Otherwise, this thread will now be locked, and those who have been chosen as applicants will be sent a PM sometime in the future with details.

Update: We have our nine people. Currently, we're finishing the final steps before we send out the PM's.

Note - if you receive a PM from us, then welcome aboard. If not, then please don't lose hope. We may plan on changing panelists in the future depending on certain circumstances; for example, if any the chosen panelists want to keep the job or not. If such a time comes, then we'll open the registration process again, eliminating any errors we've made this time around to gather the right people for the job.

Thank you for waiting, and please stay in touch.

I’d like to keep this stuck up top so there’s no room for debate. I’ll take it down once we come up with a ranking.

Thanks Tope.

The PM's have now been sent. Once again, if you didn't get one, please do not lose hope and look forward to a future registration.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

See what you guys have done?

You made WoZ post something rash and then take it back.

For shame. :(

It's also a combination of real life bull that's mixing up with this mess.

Anyhow, I'll get back to everyone on my final decision.

UPDATE 3/16/07:

It's time to get ready for the next session, and this means we need some new panelists to add to the team.

The following people will remain from the previous session:

New England:

Cort
ZoSo

Tristate:

AthrunZala
Cactuar

MD/VA:

ChozenOne
AlphaZealot

Right now, we're looking for one more person to represent each of the subregions, once again creating a total of 9 panelists. If you are interested, please follow the application process in the first post. Good luck!

I think a Maine player such as Darc or Dazwa would be good candidates for the remaining New England spot. I'll talk to them about it later.

sorry if I'm late here, but Maine needs a rep for New England seeing as we have a few people who would potentially be on the list and a couple that already are. So I would do it if I was appointed, I spend a ****load of time on the computer and can discuss this stuff all day so yea.

my first tournament was cat1 blah blah blah

These guys are very knowledgable about the game and I agree, they would definitely put up some good solid arguements to help make the list happen.

The 2 people you have as panelists for this region (AlphaZealot and ChozenOne) are from TNR. I think one of them should be removed from the panel.

Personally, I think Alpha makes a great panelist (I'm likely not alone in this opinion) although he has made very few tournament appearances lately since he's going to college in the midwest. His overall knowledge of the competitive scene both locally and nationally is good and his reasoning is top notch.

I don't know much about ChozenOne, but I've heard/seen enough to make me believe that he doesn't make for a good panelist. There's probably a lot that could be said about ChozenOne, but the only things worth noting here are that Chozen has been banned several times and he has been accused for having very bias views (in his own skill level and that of other local smashers).

So my point is, you have 2 panelists from the same crew for the MD/VA region. TNR is a somewhat large crew in the region but TA is by far the largest crew in the area and is likely the only crew that has good enough reason to have 2 panelists.

In the interest of fairness, I'd say keep one of the previous panelists (preferably AlphaZealot), add the best panelist from TA that's interested, and add someone who is a prominent smasher but not part of TNR/TA like Chillin, Wife, Husband, Chu etc. (if not then another TA member)

I know this seems somewhat random, but I couldn't help but see an issue when I looked over the rules for applying. I don't have an issue either any of the panelists, so hopefully this isn't taken the wrong way.

With all that being said, I'm going to apply. I get the feeling there's not that many people applying from the area, but I'm just assuming.

I agree with Vist.

I'm not going through the entire application process. I'm a member of Team Ben and an honorary member of TA. I know the MD/VA scene well. My judgement is never biased. It would make a lot of sense to place me as a panelist.

There are a lot others who would be better but they're too lazy to be one most likely i.e. Chinesahh, G-Reg, Aho, Chillin.

I didn't realize ChozenOne and AlphaZealot were in the same crew - it must have been something that occurred after they were initially chosen. In that aspect, I'll probably take out one of those panelists and replace him with two others who have filled out the application.

I believe I have two in mind already.

ill be a panelist, what do i have to do? i know md/va smash like the back of my hand

EDIT: and no offense to AZ and chz1, but AZ goes to ohio state and rarely goes to md/va tournaments, and chz1 is just inexperienced in general. i still love him tho <3. whens the next fairfax festage chozen?

Sorry, folks. I'm currently on vacation.

We're looking for a panelist from New Jersey to help fill in a slot. If you're interested, please send me a PM.

After that, we'll be all done and shizzle, ready to start the next list.
