People claim they can do it for a very long time, yet there arent any videos to prove it. The MK video that showcases this technique and showed us the very first time of this glitch. That MK was able to do it for 7 seconds. Thats the longest Ive seen yet, besides myself. Which I'll upload some videos later today to prove it.
People are lying when they say they can do it for 7 minutes, and they say that to get the smash community to ban the technique. It shouldnt be banned. It's very easy to get out of its range. Example... jump on a platform, or edgehog... now your safe from harm.

The highest i've managed to keep it going is about 5 seconds, i can't see how it would be humanly possible to keep it going for 7minutes.

And for all it's hype i still haven't seen a way for it to be used as some gamebreaking move, MK has better approaches, if you have the time to start it you won't need it to escape, it's easily avoided and untill people get bionic thumbs it's not the stalling tactic it has the potential to be.

i did it across eldin bridge. its mad hard to keep up the tempo. i almost got the timing right now just need fingers to keep up with it.

i love this move tho like i had the siggest edgehog on a zamus the other day cuz u move mad quick with it they go for the ledge and luck i got it where he comes out on the ground and slides into the ledge lol he like quit after that.

basically its a 5 second thing pple can use to move and thats what it should be used for . maybe even surprise attack from half FD

the longest i've held it is anywhere from 10-15 seconds while in the training area where you hit the sandbag where you prepare for online matches, but that's because I wanted to stop using it, not because of being tired, but because I was getting bored easily.

IDC is way overrated imo., sometimes I break out of it because I don't let the C-Stick go back to the neutral position first, it's hard T_T for me at least. I can only do it for like 4-5 seconds but I still use it cause it's fun and unexpected at times

I can stay in it for as long as I want. I just don't think the tech is good for anything... It's makes for a good taunt though.
