I'd like it if we can do it again now that all the vets returned. Do a few 1st party sections, 3rd party, maybe a separate one for indies, also an deconfirmed section.

But man, most choices under the Top 100 got the short end of the leash. Plum is ranked the 4th lowest above Metal Mario, Jumpman and that red bird from Pyoro (who even asked for that one? ).

I'm actually surprised Belmont's popularity is that high there. I don't really remember him being that popular, and thought his current popularity was all a product of the current rumors. Guess I was a little wrong.

Well... Daisy is 121 in this list, but look at her now. There might be some hope for bottom-100 characters.

Woah, that's mad. Thanks, but I find the whole support list thing mostly pointless considering current circumstances. Besides, we're missing a massive boatload of supporters from the old threads, I'd have to crosscheck the lists for doubles, and one list is MIA thanks to groups being nuked.

If enough people want a support list though, I'll definitely paste it into the OP.

I think it'll be handy, just in case another ballot happens and a headcount is needed to see which characters will get what amount of support from the people in here. Gotta save it for a rainy day, you know?

Rayman Legends is awesome, cool that you picked it up! You could potentially also play Origins, but Legends has a lot of Origins levels so it's not necessary, honestly.

If you end up liking Rayman 3 then I definitely recommend Rayman 2. The continuity between them ain't that strict, you could play them in any order.

The original Rayman... idk. You could definitely give it a try, but I admit it's one of those games that haven't aged very well, especially for someone who has not played it before. I do not mind its problems since I grew up with it though.

A fun one that nobody talks about is Raving Rabbids, but specifically the GBA version. It's a more modern version of the original Rayman gameplay. And it's basically the story for the scrapped Rayman 4 before it turned into minigames galore.

Wew, that was a rant lol. But seriously, hope you continue to enjoy Rayman Legends and potentially look more into the other games.

If you like Rayman 3, than Rayman 2 is a no-brainer. There's about a million ways to play it too.

And if you want to play the very first Rayman, don't be afraid to use the 99 lives cheat.

There's no way I can account for name changes between the threads though, so there could still be some doubles. It'd be a big help if any supporters who are still around and have changed their names would take a look at the lists and give me a mention if your old name is still there, the lists are separated for easier management, with the old one first in purple and the new one under it in green. It's a pet peeve, but not a mistake I blame people for.

Mega Man and Pac-Man are spelled the ways you listed, so someone thinking a character with man in their name is spelled in a similar isn't too unlikely.

Yeah, good reasoning. People who list him like that are probably not that familiar with his games or character. So it's not something to blame them for. It's not as bad as unironically calling Link 'Zelda' and such.

A common joke regarding Rayman's inclusion is that his amiibo would be, well, a mess due to the nature of his design. He'd have a bunch of poles protruding from his body so that it wouldn't fall apart. Well, there could be a workaround.

Ridley's amiibo has a shockwave right below him, despite it not being present in his character render. It makes it seem as though he just crashed onto the ground. And although they're not a part of the Smash line, the Inkling Squid amiibo's also have ink surrounding them as they "float" in the air.

Basically, if Rayman does get into Smash, they could turn his amiibo into a sort of action setpiece, making it so that the support base wouldn't be as obvious. Of course, I could be wrong and they could just use the poles lol.

That would be an interesting idea. I could see his render being him doing a wind-up punch, and the plastic from that could act as a stand for the rest of the amiibo.

They could also use a bit of forced perspective too. May look a little odd at certain angles but in the right position it would look really cool.
