Rayman: Hero of the Glade of Dreams - The Great Escape

You know, Europe has always gotten the short end of the stick in that not only do they lack a major console manufacturer, but they also get their games very late.
However, one would be wrong to say that they haven't influenced the industry. Ubisoft, Mojang, Crytek, Rare, and Rockstar are some of the biggest names in the industry.
Putting Rayman in Smash would help give Europe the recognition that they deserve.
Of course I love Rayman for being the cool platforming hero that we have all come to love. His design could bring even more diversity to the roster.
I just feel it would be a great thank you to the European gaming industry.

You're absolutely right. They've done so much for the gaming industry, yet they always seem to get the short end of the stick. They deserve better.

Since not much is going on here, I recently made some ideas for Rayman's moveset. Tell me what you guys think:

Forward smash: The wind up punch Rayman does when you hold the attack button in RO/RL.


Dash attack: The dash attack from RO/RL.


Grab: The Lockjaw from Rayman 3. Your typical tether grab, being laggy if whiffed, but has long reach to compensate. Can also be used in the air to space your opponent and recover.


Up special: His iconic Helicopter Hair (or whatever you wanna call it).


Idea 1: Rayman leaps upwards, then slowly descends down with his helicopter hair. Pretty much functions like Peach’s Parasol.


Idea 2: The Throttle Copter from Rayman 3. Rayman floats around for a small amount of time and can move in any direction, like Villager’s Balloon Trip.


He can also wall jump and crawl since he can in his own games.

And I was wrong there. This is actually my second time doing this. I remember I made some ideas for Roy's moveset back when we were still hoping for his return.

The lack of activity is understandable since there have been pretty much no news regarding Rayman or Smash Bros.

Not to mention Nintendo themselves are going through some changes, so it is understandable as to why there's really anything newsworthy, since Tournament Mode.

While Rayman 3 is my all time favorite for Rayman ever, I'd just be glad he's there lol

Maybe it will be best to go with the original Rayman design that's a thought if it comes so.

Yes, I think it end by October 3, but I meant, that maybe they started working with the characters of the ballot of something, and that's why they said that, or maybe it doesn't mean anything xD.

Unless it's a character that was so highly requested, that there's little to no chance of that character's place in the vote to get overlooked with another character, then I don't think they'll just start working on a character when they specifically have set a ending date, cuz then what's the point? But I could be wrong, but I just don't like that idea. Chances are that Facebook thing means nothing but just fan supporting.

On the topic of the end of the ballot, I think they're working on a character right now. At this point, I think they have a general idea of what people are looking for, so I think we could see a character a little bit after October 3rd. Or more, who knows?

Hey guys Snake is getting re-rated today if you can maybe get your two cents on another demanded character maybe the Snake fanbase and Rayman fanbase can fight together to get these guys in or back in. It would be nice unity thing, especially a good bit of Snake fans would also like to see Rayman as a possible third party newcomer.
