Looks like the launch party in New York had a little bit of an issue.

According to our source who just attended the Nintendo World Store launch party event, there was a significant amount of drama. First we would like to point out that the flyer posted on Bulbapedia was fake. The third line regarding the Mystery Gift was intentionally photoshopped by a member of their site in an effort to create his/her own event. Throughout the event there were announcements through the Nintendo World Store speakers NOT to download any Mystery Gifts as they will CORRUPT your game. A rotund, bearded, and generally unkempt individual dressed as a Team Rocket grunt was escorted out of the event by security for distributing a very hacked level 100 shiny Gengar from Lovely Place. There were at least 2 reported Wi-Fi Mystery Gift signals at the event which ended about one hour ago.

One of the comments further down issues what was so bad about the Gengar.

it was a shiny gengar (so it was a dark color, close to black), nicknamed the n-word, held black sludge, had snatch, theif, sucker punch, and sludge bomb. It also had the ability truant, which actually means "a student who stays away from school without permission" or "a person who shirks or neglects his or her duty."

I find this a mix of being totally uncalled for and hilarious. The latter mainly because the guy who did it was dressed as a Rocket Grunt and got caught.

Just wanted to know if you all knew about this...

I never understood Jynx. It always seemed like the reason Jynx was considered Black was because the empty hole where a face should be had only two eyes, a mouth, and a shadow. Then they turned Jynx purple which meant that it's face was clearly not an empty, shadowy hole with eyes peeping out, which kind of corrected my previous understanding of it's biology.

After playing Pokemon Stadium from a long time ago, I remembered that when Jynx fainted, she deflated and her face would disappear leaving only her hair and her dress to fall flat on the ground....
So that means Jynx is a........wtf?

I never liked Jynx. She kind of did strike me as racist, even when I was a kid..... very similar-looking to black face, especially with the huge red lips. But my uncle is very militaristic, so I guess it's sort of an exception that I would notice something like that......
