Smash Ace
It may be tough to master, but I think a side booster to dair is a legitimate edge guard/gimp tech.

The read can't be too hard if the target is offstage and recovering, depending on the character of course. That requires a hard read, since it can't be combo'd into with anything but awful DI, like off a fair ( DI up+towards) or dthrow at the edge (any DI besides inward); and since dair is slow and you can't travel downward with the hitbox.
We already have a Skype chat actually. XDI'm gonna start that ROB skype chat now!

bingoIf it's footstool->side-b->bair, yeah it works on everyone and it's godlike
Footstool->side-b->nair is great too but doesn't work on short characters
Does it always send you forward though?Gyro always sending forward is my favorite property of it
It sends them in the direction you were facing when you threw or dropped itDoes it always send you forward though?
Hi, I am a Brawl ROB player and have been since his release. I'm picking up PM and plan on competing heavily in it going ROB only. Brawl characteristics carry over from Brawl to PM so I wanted to share this with you all.
I don't know how this will apply for PM. And most of you may already realize this property, but watch what happens when you tinker with the gyro a bit.

Yeah that was my main reason for posting the video. Most Brawl ROBs, if not all of them, didn't realize this characteristic for the longest time.It sends them in the direction you were facing when you threw or dropped it
Edit: oh OK now that i actually watch it lmao.
did you ever remember anything about the laser glitch?Does it always send you forward though?

Support this idea, it is really annoying that it takes so long until you can actually use gyro...Just a suggestion, but wouldnt being able to hold the gyro directly from down b be a reasonable upgrade to ROB?
Which one?did you ever remember anything about the laser glitch?
the one where it like...doesn't workWhich one?
Not possible. It is even harder to do it in PM if it is. I have spent some time in training mode trying to create it in PM. I can do it in Brawl. He doesn't glide as far in PM as he does in Brawl which really hurts him and makes me think it's impossible. For those wondering what DC means:@ Mister Eric , do you know whether ROB can still re-catch the gyro after a full length weak toss in P:M? I tried to do this in training mode and failed, but it may not mean much since I can't perform this tech in Brawl either. >.>
Stingers theory was that when the laser is changing from weak to strong, there is some load time in-between and nothing comes out. Maybe during only a few frames or something. Could vary on how the Wii loads it. This could be completely wrong. I just spent a full 8 min timer testing it, trying to make it happen. In PM, a large laser comes out every 15 sec, and I tried to time it right but never got anything.no, I mean the one where it just doesn't work

It happens in Brawl, but it's happened to me in PM too
