say you hit a spacey straight up with the raptor boost at around 30-40 percent. STRAIGHT UP. whats best to do, or what comes up first in your mind. up smash? nair? knee? grab? u air? endless possiblities, but what do you prefer? i wish g-reg would answer this =[ how about you scar, i know you read this ish once in a while....

situation is that they go straight up, what do you do from there. what would you do from there. what could rack uo the most damage, you know diffrent opinions would be nice instead of your "thats a dumb question" ish.

I almost always grab and start tech chasing after a low % raptor boost. Usmash is pretty unreliable, uair doesn't necessarily combo, I guess your 2nd best option would be nair, hope they miss the tech and knee (which works a lot). You could always go SS on their ***** and raptor boost again.

But yeah I almost always run and JC grab, then probably uthrow cg or dthrow tech chase.

I only raptor boost tech chase every once in a while, I don't know why cause it really is an amazing move. Covering 3 of 4 tech options = broken. I seemed to be doing it a lot more yesterday and was having a good bit of success. I'll play around with it b/c raptor boost at the edge with a spacie at like 40% = stock at least half the time, either via FSmash or sh knee or drop zone or whatever.

I agree with hax. Usmash is **** against fast fallers, if you have the oppurtunity to use it, then by all means do. It does massive damage and it can lead to almost anything (if they don't DI the usmash and the percentages are right you can even do another usmash.... and combo that into a knee. ****)

raptor boost -> usmash is something everyone needs to do more. use stomp instead of usmash for techchasing because smart opponents will DI away, and then only the first hit of usmash will hit which does nothing. but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck raptor boost usmash is nasty lol

those 2 youre better off hitting with like a neutral air

stomp usmash yea it can work, you gotta try not to hit with the 1st hit of usmash though.. just the second one. they can DI away after the first hit to get out of it =(

Hey Hax about DI'ing away from the usmash, do they need to smash DI or is normal DI enough to only get hit by the first one? I didn't think it was that easy to get out of it (if just normal DI is required) lol I need to learn my friends how to DI

BTW, I have a question about the raptor boost but instead of making a new topic, I'll just ask it here:
If/when you raptor boost a floaty (like a peach or spamus) at low percents and they go to high for the nair, what do you usually follow up with? they're in perfect reach for a fulljump double uair, but they usually jump/float/nair out of this (it doesnt combo until around 30% i think)
not even a uair shffl will combo at low percents
Any advice?

lol.......

raptor boost -> usmash -> usmash -> knee......2222good.
yes its worked on non scrubs. very unexpected and rarely works. Do not use unless you're using blood falcon.

Raptor boosting again is hilarious, and why not? If they are at the correct percentages (around 30-35%) you can spam raptor boost a couple of times and then sh Knee/grab/whatever. Knee on Fox or Falco at 65% is usually lethal on small stages, if not it sets up for an edgeguard.

Of course this strategy only works on fast fallers.

^^rofl you can do LOADS of raptor boosts in a row in falcon dittos
I tried to see how many I could get to register as a combo in training mode, I got seven to register as a combo (on another falcon, starting at 18%, no di)
If I had timed the last one (the one that I missed) a little bit later im sure I couldve kept the combo going
It's actually not that bad of a combo against fast fallers if they di the raptor boost, you can do a ton of them then they might stop diing to mix it up.... then you usmash them and knee them, or usmash them again if they didnt di the usmash..... and then knee them. or nipple spike them if youre close to the edge.
bwahahhhhaha what awesome ****

jona-yah nair ***** semi floaties like marth, it usually doesnt reach floaties (like peach) though :(

from like 10% to 30% on peach or even jiggs you can land a raptor boost, nair/uair -> grab.

if it's higher then that, and you think you're fast enough, try a full hop nair and if you fast fall it after the second kick it'll be auto cancelled and have only 4 frames of lag. then you can follow it up with any aerial. I like to go into a dair and then tech chase. if they miss the tech you can jab so they have a forced get up and grab them.

but yeah at low percents, raptor boost, uair/nair, grab, d throw, knee.

cool **** milos i'll try that out
boost->shffl uair->grab almost always works it seems. (if they're at very low percent and you didnt shffl fast enough they might be able to jump away before you grab, but thats pretty unlikely)
And the full jump nair is a godsend at higher percent... you can even combo it into another fulljumped nair lol
