i was just planning to host it at my place.
there's only one TV at my place, too. but we only have 4 people rocking up so far (arrow, paff, one of my mates and myself). if more than just us decides to gather, then we'll have to look at trying to get someone to bring a TV, or maybe even relocate. note: if anyone else wants to host it, go for it; my place might not be the best but it's always on the table. the few blokes that are coming to the meet are fine with my place i assume, but yeah, no one hesitate to suggest a suitable alternative if you have one. otherwise i'm happy to host it.
vyse i'd love to help organise the brisbane tourneys, but i'll have to refrain from getting involved for at least four weeks until i'm done with uni. as soon as the semester is over i'll have alot of time on my hands to help out then.

scrubs your place sounds easy to get to. and arrow if you got several TVs, your place sounds like the way to go, if you're cool with it of course.
As for the date of that meeting, i was suggesting the 25th of october a moment ago, but paff did you want to hold it sooner? and if arrow if you host it, you should put forward a time you think is best.

First off, I'm mostly a casual player, so I realize that I'm by no means a master of stage-judging. However:
1. Luigi's Mansion seems ban-worthy. It's got relatively large solid-roofed areas on the bottom floor and is large-enough to allow for ridiculous stalling.
2. Jungle Japes strikes me as counterpick-worthy. Unless the side platforms are ridiculous for camping with certain characters or something, I really don't see what makes it bannable.
3. I haven't heard any mention of any idea like this before, so it's probably _really_ terrible, but: would Spear Pillar by any chance be counterpick-worthy if use of the lower area were banned? As in, if you touch the lower floor, or grab its ledges, you're required to forfeit your current stock? I just really like the level aside from the bottom area, and that seems like the main part that hoses serious play. The main issue I can see is enforceability of such a rule, I guess. And then there's the reverse-control shenanigans' questionableness in a tournament, but really that's just hardcore.

MaCa, MaCa's friend, Arrow, Scrubs, and me would make five people for a Brawl crew. I'm fine with meeting at whoever's place, although if it does end up with five of us we should probably try for having two TV/Wii setups.

On to stages Jungle **** should be a counter but whats the Problem with Pirate Ship? Counter pick for sure. And Luigi mansion should only be banned for Pit kinda like DeDeDe Rule. Nick ***** to hard with pit on that level

When the first match of any given set is played, a random stage from the 'starter' list is chosen.
When you lose a match is when you may pick from either the counter pick or starter list as your counter pick stage.

Lylat Cruise isnt to bad the background is ****in annoying and the Ship tilting can really **** your jumps up sometimes and because of that it should be regarded the same as Frigate Orpheon.
