Well, I was just saying that I'm probably even more inclined to judge than most other people, not that'd I'd want to.

Competitive games are not for me. I'm going back to playing RPG's all day everyday.

I consider a meet anything that has atleast 4-5 of the PR players. PMS has never had that and isn't usually focused on melee anyway. For the sake of being able to decide if someone is playing better or worse you would want a meet with more than 2 PR players.

The only place we've had that lately is at the tournaments, and josh has been to all of those. No point josh going to a dorf off if there's only one other PR player there, that's not going to help him decide who is better than who.

I stand by my suggestion that josh is the most unbiased player in QLD and would be good for a panelist.

And you can't say thats biased from me because if i wanted to be biased i would suggest ryan since he's seen me playing at my best.

So yeah I stand by chris + josh for melee panelists.

Whether a Melee one is made doesn't bother me too much one way or another, though ironically, it's got all the Melee players talking, which makes me happy

Kas/Ben for the panel in my opinion.

Sorry but I agree with dif, Ben Josh Chris.

Kas knows how good we all do against him but I really do think he'd be biased in his list cuz of how people do against him, which is fair enough since he's the best in qld, but you cant just compare us all against one person.

Look at it this way, Ryan and I are fairly even when we play (except for that terrible winners finals at hotcats where i got ***** cuz im bad), and ryan does pretty good against kas but when I play kas I look ****ing terrible at this game.

In kas's instance the reason he wins is because he knows character and how to use it in certain matchups. He can read his opponent and predict quite well what they will do. From this he is able to find the limits of his opponents. If you put someone on a panel who doesn't even place top 3 your compromising the list. How can someone know exactly how good they are when they lose to them.

I know that I (and Kas does as well) dont always go full on in a match but do what is required to win. We know exactly how good we are and what the opponent is capable of handling. On the other hand the opponent is unaware of when we do put the pressure on and simply pass it as mistake on there behalf. Except it happens again and again and they make the excuse of "oh i played like crap blah blah bad DI" etc. I know this because I've experienced it and so has Kas.

Right now is not the best time to make a list anyway.

I didn't tell you any method of ranking... Im purely organising it....Someone has to mediate between the panelists otherwise it will never get done...

The panelists are a good cross section of knowledgeable players...who have played everyone in the scene....

Wouldn't mind another Brawl panelists though....suggestions?

Just tourney results isn't a good way of doing...people shouldn't be punished for not making tourneys becase of life

Panelists mediate between panelists, it's what they do.

Rankings dont need ther own thread either. If any discussion about the rankings is needed, then they aren't complete and the panelists lick monkey ballz.

Is top 10 really necessary? If we want to be consistent with other states then yeh...

Top 5 is ideal. When people look at power rankings, do they look at people scraping in at 9 and 10 and go whoa, i better remember that guys name?

I'm not 100% sure about melee numbers but the brawl scene has like 20-25 players max, probs more if you count the really inactive smashers... so is it really much of an achievement to be in the top 50%... lol seems kinda pointless. Top 5 would be heaps more competitive.

Bleh, that's just my opinion.

I'll do Brawl, too, except, like always, my placings aren't based on tourny results, just my own opinions.
It doesn't matter about how many there are, you're still competing to get better you douche.
Top 10 still has top 5, so if you wanna get in the top 5 then get better.
