And now here we are, nine pages in regularly discussing sideboob and snakes wearing tiny hats and bunny ears. How things change.

Though the thread might not get anyway in particular for a while, since Medusa is probably the kind of character we would find out about from the game before the website. Unless Palutena is shown in Pit's final smash or we actually get a character announcements, it'll probably be what-ifs all around.

Speaking of what-ifs though, things are looking pretty good for Kid Icarus in Smash Bros. Two stages, two items, Pit was featured prominently with the Original 8 (minus Yoshi) and Bowser at E3 AND got a pretty big tweaking to make him more Uprising-based. And that's just what we know now. That's more items and stages than Star Fox got in Brawl, do with that what you will.

They had newcomers other than Pit though. They could've used someone else, like. I don't know. Ike? Or anyone on the starting roster really. And even without Pit the trailer revealed three newcomers. So it's not like without Pit they wouldn't have had ANY newcomers revealed.

And nobody is saying Yoshi isn't a part of the original 8. That's kind of obviously a fact since Yoshi is in the starting roster of 64. The thing is that Pit has been shown in two E3 trailers OVER Yoshi, which says more about what is going on with Kid Icarus than it does about what's going on with Yoshi.

But yeah no, I just feel like if Palutena were shown to be Pit's final smash once again, it would all but confirm Medusa. Alternatively, we see the GST or something. Which would be cool too.

I was thinking of something. Every 8 franchise presented in the trailer have 3 characters (Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Starfox, Pokemon, if everyone returns) or should have 3 charcters (DK with K Rool and Metroid with Ridley, according to fans).

Do you think KI being with thoses "big in characters" franchises help Medusa's chances? This plus the fact they are all main series, but we already talked about that.

PS: Majora, you officially have good taste in anime characters.

I could go with my MOST favorites, but I prefer ones who make interesting facial expressions. They make for better avatars IMO.

Anyway aside from that, with Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/Kirby they already have 3 or more... Star Fox would have 3 with no cuts... K. Rool and Ridley would give Donkey Kong and Metroid 3. I think it definitely helps the chance of us getting Palutena AND Medusa, which is definitely the best case scenario. But I couldn't guess how likely that actually is.

I support this. I think that's a great idea for a moveset (I had the same idea for her Down B). Medusa is one of my most wanted characters for Smash 4 so it's great to see that others support her too.

Man, it's kind of surreal how underrated Medusa is by the smash community. I mean when people list Magnus, Dark Pit, Orcos, and a generic Monoeye over Medusa there is a serious problem.

It seems like this to me since nobody expected Greninja as a Pokemon newcomer (though it bet Game Freak had the say in that situation).

Since Sakurai doesn't really follow anniversaries that much anymore, seeing her as an unlockable would be the best option. I'll go ahead and do my part for the Uniqueness Thread.

Welcome back. You know, Greninja not only boosts Medusa by being somewhat unexpected and strange, but his trailer was a dual reveal trailer.

Maybe we'll get a Palutena vs Medusa double reveal trailer? They opened that door, if they don't make use of it I will be at least a little disappointed.

EDIT: Also, I just plan to stay away from spoilers, get my preorder copy, and play versus matches until I unlock the roster and hopefully surprise myself that way. I doubt it'll hold out, but oh well. I'm lazy like that.

It awesome. But it's not the crazy country that we see on TV. Japanese politeness is pleasantly surprising! There's also more English to read than I thought, so taking the subway is really easy (the whole city of Tokyo is really functional)

Also, it's sometimes a bit perverted (so it's more awesome ). Akihabara is a really fun part of Tokyo, with the gigantic anime billboards and all the shops that sells figures. Also, thought it's a bit expensive, Maid cafés are a thing to do once. It's really fun. I mean, to order your food, you don't have to say "I'd like to order some food". No. It would be boring. Instead, you say "Nya Nya".

I am behind medusa though i would want her to be the rd rep( kid icarus deserves 3 reps) with palutana and pit. i personally find Hades more interesting in uprising but id rather he be a boss on an under world stage( goes against the inner ridley fan in me but meh).
