Ike is better than you think. Erick beats Cao's peach with Ike. You simply need to learn how to play with Ike. Brawl FTW. Melee is dead. We also thought that melee would go on forever. Boy were we wrong. Everyone was playing brawl and having fun and now they don't care about melee anymore. Well at least not as much.

apart from his side smash ike's not even that slow, and when landing one hit = 2 or 3 hits from other chars, it balances out pretty well in his favour. he can get fast range with A,A, and his bair is good and quick. he just needs SSBM marth's grab range

I played melee last night. After consuming a large amount of beer, it was extremely fun. Brawl does suck for skill. Alas we will have to move on
