I'm be up on Dec 10 -12 to catch up with everyone. Heads up. Vyse/TOs, we need to talk about collaborating. Hopefully with more input from myself, we can work towards pulling in more OOS for a future QLD event
Sounds good.

I've been waiting til the end of exams before I start doing anything for SummerSmash.

Priorities priorities!

Are you DORF's pulling an all weekender of drinking and smash? :p

for a cheaper alternative, try this

http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=56&bid=2&sid=47772

then get 1 to 3 AV splitters from dicksmith for about $3 each. download free capture software. setup complete, and you don't need to worry about an AV-out on your comp.

total cost -> $38

it's the cheap alternative though, so don't expect amazing quality. it's good enough, but not amazing. also it can't compress real-time. you need to have a LOT of space free if you want to record with it.

for anything better you're looking at around $80

Dazzle does compress tard, and I just bought one off ebay for 10.50 incl post all cables incl. I have 2 now yay ololololol. Can capture either ntsc or pal ranging from 1 to 15,000kbits/ps in both mpeg1-2 or avi format. That being twice the quality of a dvd.

And that would consist of? Currently, I've already have Vegas Pro 9 for other uses which has an option for "Capture Device" and I know how to make any clip full-screen with 720p. Just a matter of the cables that I'm after that are high end.

well, dazzle i guess. that seems to be what most people think is good. zac has two, maybe he could sell you one for cheap. cause he's a nice guy and all HAHAHAHAHA. srsly though, dazzle seems to be what most people use.

zac can probs help you more, he seems to know about technical stuff.

Hey vyse, i understand that brawl is the focus of smashplay but if i contribute a t.v (assuming there's room for 1) and bring a wii and a copy of melee can i use it to play melee friendlies?

I didn't really assess space and number of available powerpoints so if there's no room/you think it'll interfere with tournament proceedings, then that's fine.

my comp will be there anyway, cause of recording. so just hit me up when you want to play and it's a goer. hugh'll probably be in on tf2 anytime at a lansmash as well, considering he always gets knocked out about three matches in.
