Bring anyone you want! The first and foremost goal of this tournament is to expand QLD smash to anyone who would like to join, people of any skill level and age.

But yeah, the activity center is a basketball court, with a stage. And holes in the ground to set up nets for volleyball/badminton.

Just so you know the swiss leads to double elim, its used to determine the top 8 players who go through to the double elim bracket, everyone else can feck off XD

Last time in melb it was top 3 that went through, which happened due to time constraints I understand, not saying that it would occur here.
Either way, I prefer double elimination because I fail to adapt to another person's style within 3 stock and need more time T_T

meh i am gonna b rooted for this tourney. bin playin nunchuk and have gotten quite comfy with it but am tryin out the gc controller now

I guess the reason why we're all so comfortable with it is because we all played Melee a ton. It was natural for us from the get go.

At least you're converting now, rather than later. Most of the Advanced Tech's developed, have been based around the gc controller, so you may be better off in the long run.

You'll get there man >.<

Also, I may have to postpone my venue hunting endeavours while I focus on my orange card accreditation. This stuff is hard -_-

Hopefully by this time tommorow I'll have it though. Then on tuesday I'll focus on acquiring the venue.

yer i went from the 64 to brawl kinda thing. neva thought gamecube was that gr8 so missed out on an entire game. o well alls well that end well.
umm with regards to the stages... my only issue is with rainbow ride.. nothing against the level personally but is it really fit 4 tourney use. i guess i think that if rumble falls is recommended to be banned then so shud rainbow ride.
u guys mite hav a reason not to... i dunno.

as long as u hav a venue by the 20th september take all the time u want lol.
looking forward to the drive to b honest. i wanna smash the guts outta my engine..

edit: umm also.. i see that yokai is coming.. i guess i'd really like to talk to him sometime either there or before.. wat with him being a lucario main and all i wud love to see how he plays and learn from it i guess.

While people on here like to talk **** (For lack of a better expression), they are perfectly nice people outside of the internet. At least, nothing anybody reading this couldn't handle. At least from my experience : )

So if you're out there, I implore you to make a post and announce that you are coming so I have a better estimate of numbers.

Also, pending a few talks tommorow, I'll confirm/deny HSHS as the venue. Will keep you all posted.

Also, a shoutout to Unit_00, a lurker who's contacted me about the tournament and even put himself down as an equipment supplier. Everybody else, even if they feel uncomfortable about posting here, can even PM me. A few have already, and I'm hoping more will too.
