I think fusions/retypes are actually more simple than a revamp (at least, a well-done revamp), but revamp/devamp has been discussed for a few rounds now, so I think we should go with that this round and do Mic's suggestion next round, because I do like that suggestion. Bug-type needs more love.

I'll support the revamp for this round as well.

TAL has added yet another sprite onto his Hall of Fame profile. In fact the only week he hasn't had a successful placing in the top 3 was week 1. Of the following 6 weeks, he won gold three times. Can anyone stop him? Here's there chance:

I decided to revamp my very favorite Generation 1 Sprite! I love Seadra alot actually, and Kingdra sorta ruined him for me. If Seadra were a decent Pokemon, I would totally use it.

I like both submissions! Especially how made the coloring and outline for the Seadra, Meta-Kirby. Also, is that white speak on the left side of Seadra the other eye? I can't quite tell what it is (in either sprite), sorry.

Yeah, it's the other eye. In the original sprite, you can sorta see the "eyebrow" for the unseen eye, so I decided to turn the face a bit more medially to coincide with current spriting tactics. Rarely nowadays to you see a sprite with only one of the eyes showing.

An example is the current Celebi sprite.... you can never see the **** eye on the thing

@Celebi - I think you could refine your black outlining a bit more. It looks kinda shaky in some areas.

@Rockem - I really like the extra shading on each Dugtrio you did. Very nice.

That's what I was going to say about Roacherman's sprite.
Not everything is going to be handed to you on a silver platter, Roacherman, you have to step back for yourself and say "what about my sprite could change, or what differentiates IT from the rest of the competition".
If you possibly say "I don't know how to do that", then you need to work on that.

That's what I think anyway. Keep in mind I'm a fluke when it comes to art, so you are still going to want advice / suggestions / critiques from other artists.

The criticism I gave you was supposed to help on both your Ike Sprite and now this Celebi sprite, it's like you want it, but then you're offended when you get it. Nobody wants to be the person you lash out at because you're TRYING to help.

Celebi. I agreed with Meta-Kirby's statement because he essentially said that he agreed with what I told you beforehand about your outlining and asking.
Regardless of that, I already gave you my own advice, and told you to ask for others' help. Likewise when Meta-Kirby posted about self-evaluating you need to understand that also, so I agreed with him.

I'm sorry if what I'm saying it's reflecting what I'm trying to mean. My English is being worked on.

Question: If you have not put in a final submission, are you allowed to switch Pokemon? I know it says editing is only allowed at a minimum, but I don't know if that's just for final submissions.

And for the poll, maybe it'd be a good idea to put the original sprites next to the finished products so that voters who didn't look in this thread can make a better judgment.

The fossil is fine. I think you could step up the outlining to make it more dark like the original, where the bones are more solid-looking.
