Proposal: Why not just try allowing all custom moves and equipment in tournament? [Now with a poll]

The circle shows no stat gains if you manage an all-negative setup, which could be achieved by having 3 pieces of equipment with greater stat drawbacks than gains in favor of a specialized bonus like easier perfect shielding. That would possibly slip by unless you actually look at the character setup.

Fortunately, most of the effects are easy to notice, especially in a replay.

Worst comes to worst, for online events we can scan the replay files for equipment with a simple automated tool. It doesn't exist today, but it'd be pretty easy to do.

I can confirm that having all negative stats does not change your stat icon from default.

If custom moves aren't allowed, Palutena is screwed. Seriously, most of her default specials are AWFUL. Another Down-B Counter?! Don't we have like, eight (nine if you count ) people with counters in this game already?!

If we do, Tier List maker's jobs just got a whole lot harder. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

This thread's has, as many have already stated, strayed from it's path.
OP didn't want to make out that we should have our mainstream tournaments with equipment available. Since then it's gone from discussing equipment viability to just custom moveset discussion, which we already have a dedicated thread for.
