Project M Unbound : NEXT CHARACTER HAS BEEN DECIDED

*Sigh* does anyone even pay attention to what i post.... i just linked to a source of exactly where this project lies atm. its not abandoned they are just waiting on the GCT, 3.5 was decrypted and linked to on the last couple pages >.> 3.6 shouldn't take nearly as long as there were no major codes added that would conflict with current ones.

To add on to this the new character is also being worked on, along with various tweaks to the newcomers already in the current build. Right now the main focus is to get Unbound working with 3.6 (with no glitches,bugs,etc.) so we can start updating again until Project M goes to 4.0.

There's even a new announcer for the build to cover for new characters like Ridley and Dark Samus (who is now confirmed to being worked on by BaganSmashBros, the creator of the Ridley PSA). Most of the new characters I plan to add will be villians, and by the end of the builds dev cycle, all of the Big 3 (Rildey, Mewtwo, *) will be added into Project M.

I'm gonna keep an eye out for that pack. I assume it's also gonna be based on BrawlEX? That, with the Smash 3 and 3C textures, would be awesome...

it will still have all the limitations of BeX, so you'd still have to find a sound file to replace, tho its theorized one could actually make a clone BSAR file the same way they made the BeX fighters, tho that would be in the future. if you manually add clones yourself you would need to edit the sound files for that character. typically its bosses that are replaced. and there are only so many of those.

I believe Bagan just replaced Pit with Ridley so all of Pit's sound files are replaced + Pit announcer voice. I don't know how possible would giving our own clones their own soundbanks without being limited to replacing bosses would be, but if that time comes, then I will be inspired to make my own build with newcomers from Smash 4 + characters I think deserve to be in Smash.

I wish you look in creating a fun, new, and bug-free Project M.:b:

well i can give you the GCT, however there are a few glitches and bugs, (psa related non BeX related)

The 3 Pokemon associated with PT are broken. They cause random effects and can crash the game due to how PM changed their coding and PSA, PM seperated them altogether with codes to increase their file size. we can't make them work without someone fluent in PSA (work around is changing to an older version or vbrawl PT)

Mewtwos shadowball is invisible (again >.>) there could be a simple fix, we're looking into it once the game is more stable. (no freezing)

PSA quirks (some characters need fightercfg edits for things like "samus has crawl" or characters like donkey kong don't have a hard landing animation, prevents wavedashing) most those should be fixable with PSA and the fighter config files.

and last people have reported random results screen crashes with clones. tho i have not experienced these myself.

Keep in mind this is JUST the GCT we havent configured any files, you will need to edit those yourself untill we are finished with the coding. (anyone wanting to help out with the project, if you could add the core files and BrawlEx config files it would be VERY appreciated and vastly speed up production.) i suggest starting with a clean slate when testing it.

We appreciate the suggestions, but right now we're focusing on a functional build. We're not ready to give a release date yet, but we'll have one. If I had to guess, it'd probably be out by next December. Keep in mind that that's MY guess, and isn't offical. At all.

We use BrawlEX Clones.

(P.S Waluigi has all ready been attempted, but the staff didn't think he worked well with BrawlEX. Sorry!)

And are you really working your butt off? I wasn't aware PM Unbound has anything other than new characters. That's be awesome if it had more though.
We are. Every day I play the game to make sure there are no bugs, along with others. Our devs work as much as possible.

Also, I can't give out the identity of our next character, but (most) will be pleased.
Admins should lock this thread already, the project have been abandoned. I am fully aware of the previous comments stating it is "still " going on. But let's look at the facts, the website is down, no new recent news, even the op won't respond. The people who claim that this mod is still being worked on is clearly cannot look at the evidence presented in front of them. The PM team will not release a character add on script for future updates(4.0 and so on) because they are too busy trying to make a pal version and fixing the bugs in 3.6. On the side note, if the project does get updated (which is at this case it is a 3% likely) it will not include much. So please do not take it the wrong way, everyone have lives and cannot work at the speed everyone can hope for .

tldr: do not hope for unbound because it will not come and will slowly die
It's a bummer this project died. It was fun and different. Meh. I'll get over it.
We're not DEAD. We're making slow progress, that's all. Just because @ jasgx jasgx isn't currently with us doesn't mean we're dead. "Inactive" and "Dead" are two very similar things, but don't get them mixed up.

masquerade has been deciphered. shouldn't be long till the GCT for 3.6 comes available now. just need to do a few tests to kink out freezing afterwards. i expect the GCT should be ready after tuesday or wednesday (next days sirks is off) then we will release another beta GCT.

3.6 GCT is ready. We are fine tuning a few things then we can release it, if someone could set up the core files for us it would be greatly appreciated and speed things up a lot. i would expect probably another week or so to sort those out by ourselves. (just very little time to work on it Dx Sorry)

So how does the character selection process work with this? There's some fantastic ones made or being made for PM specifically (Ridley, Dark Samus, Waluigi, others by KJP) and others that probably wouldn't take too much work to adapt (mostly stuf by CaliKingz). I know you have to wait until the codeset is ready but it would still be nice to hear more on the future content.

What would really go well with this is some new textures.

I wanna do it, but I'm stuck with 3.02.
The earliest I use is 3.5 for builds.

anyone know the sawd files for lucina ?
The only difficult part is adding sounds to your Brawl Ex Clone. But luckily for characters like Geno and Alastor (two really awesome PSA's on the vault), you don't have to worry about their sounds, since they already sound legitimate as it is.

Not an expert in the PSA Department by any means, but it would involve porting the Brawl Animations back into ZSS's moveset file (in all folders that apply respectively) and the moveset coding itself (best done with Project Smash Attacks, as modifying moveset coding with Brawl Box will not be able to be opened in PSA, unless that's finally been sussed out), and of course the bug fixing. So I'd best leave it to someone more well versed before trying to go at it your self.

Not sure how often you guys update or check things, but the link to your website leads to viruses and not your site. Its been doing that for a while now. Has no one noticed?

What are we suppose to do with this, i do not understand
replace the 3.6 GCT with ours. then follow the tutorial here to add clones. you will need to modify the common files (simple replacement in brawlbox) and drag and drop the core BeX files where they go. hopefully soon we will make a patch where everything is pre-made. we are still bug testing tho.

also go to the ProjectM folder and drag its contents to>
SD: private/wii/app/RSBE/PF

it will work with any asl codes as long as they don't affect characters or costumes. you can't use Cblis with it since it affects the characters however you can achieve cbliss effect with the fighter and CSS configuration files. i'll link a tutorial, i believe the person that wrote it already has all characters maxed out for download as well. just read thru it.

Good to see things moving at a faster rate. Now, I just gotta wait for the next version.
we havent recieved feed back one way or another about how its working. i'll have to boot the wii up and test it myself. but it seems ready. usually people only gripe when there's a problem xD i'm currently working on modifying PM's menu's.
