IDK, you can do some tasty fair gimps. But yeah, bair nessessities.

Are we still talking about Washington or Iowa? If Iowa, then that's something I can potentially attend.
Joker's monthly is in Des Moines, IA. We were talking about the February tournament in Oak Lawn, IL just now though.

If you think you can make it, I'd love to see you at Joker's on the 15th. I'll be bringing my PM 2.1 setup and hopefully a small CRT. Strong Bad has some interest in going, but if there's going to be a small turnout, he probably won't.

Why does it seem like this is how parties work too? "No one else is going so I won't either."

I can guaranty that, unless you have a maximum tolerance for super avoidant/non-interactive play, you will not have fun playing me though. I go for timeouts with Falcon. In Friendlies. Alternatively, it might give you exposure to a kind of playstyle you're not use to and could be surprisingly fun. My roommate, bad as he is, genuinely enjoys playing against my maximum homo style.

@ kink: I have a legit question regarding that actually. Not trying to put you on the spot, just actually curious.

Why do you choose to play like that? I've gotten a number of responses to this. Some range from "The mentality of the playstle is interest," to "its safe and requires less ability to play". I've even had people tell me they play like that because they just like making people mad.

I just cant find a reason to playing like that unless winning is your top priority for playing. The boring slow pace of the match just kind of sucks the life out of the game for me.

Combination of a fun pace in examining the opponent's actions, not wanting to over dedicate to an approach and get shield grabbed or out prioritized or something else silly, and a desire to get the most out of the movement and other neutral game options the game provides. I feel like choosing not to utilize, for example, the full 8 minutes allowed by the ruleset, or the full range of options available to one's character, or anything else of the sort, is choosing to play below one's potential and choosing to put pride or jollies above sport and respect. To me rushing in in a game like this is saying to your opponent "You are worse than me, and I can run in with whatever I want and have it work knowing that you can't do anything about it as a player, then I can taunt cancel over and over showmeyashowmeyashowmeyamoves." I don't have to play for the entertainment of others; I'm having fun playing a game I love. If I kill at 250% with a flub sex kick that's fine with me. Even if I lose, I do so having had fun with the game and playing it in a way that utilizes all the tools the game gives me.

But I'm bad at video games and wear bows in my hair so w/e.

Some people just don't get playing homo.

I got ***** mercilessly because he's insano good and a legend and fox can eat a meaty one

@playing boring
I. Love. Being boring. Or annoying. All day today (even against m2k) all of my non Eli opponents were dumbfounded by me being a jerk and it brings me such joy. I timed out someone last tournament as sonic and was 40 seconds away from timing out someone today (i had 2 stock each time, on rumble falls) and I love it. I like feeling Im in control and that people will remember the experience, even if they hate me. I can't help it. I love it.
Just hearing the pitterpatter of sonics feet on the wood in rumble falls as I run right by you... ugh its exhilarating.

Jigglypuff is a Melee veteran who's pretty well-developed, so you're probably better off asking around or reading up in the threads at the Melee Jigglypuff forums. You should reference Hungrybox's Melee and PM videos from FC: Legacy and The Big House 2 as well.

I don't know how to use Jigglypuff at all (I'm terrible at spacing wars), but Hungrybox uses a lot of BAirs and very few DAirs in the neutral game.
IIRC, Mango actually made a great Puff guide around the time he beat Hbox in Puff dittos. That would be a great source for you to look up as well, Leaf. ;)

Determining Player Priority:

If there is a dispute in controller port selection or initiating Stage Strike use the following method:
Using :gw: Judgement higher number wins. The winning Team shall either elect to have first choice in port selection or first choice in Stage Strike. Whichever Team does not receive first choice in Port Selection will be compensated with first choice in Stage Striking.
Note: In Doubles, port selection is ordered 1-2-2-1 fashion (with Team-1 having first choice in controller slot select, Team-2 having both second and third choice, and the final slot going to Team-1).
Ohhh man, that's epic! Using Gdubs instead of RPS to decide port priority! :awesome:

The first number in a match can't be 1 or 2. The second number can't be 2. A number can't be repeated until, I believe, two (not sure what this number is) other numbers have been called out. SideB's animation does not have to finish for a number to have been 'called out'. Even if sideB was started for only a frame before being interrupted by an opponent's attack, the number was still 'called out'.

Judgment in Brawl also had rules based on the timer.

I think due to these, the chance of getting any one number was always 1/7 unless it was a number that violated any of the rules mentioned above. Only 7 numbers would ever be available at one time.

Sleep is so healthy and refreshing. And underrated too.
I think I did it once last Friday, and trust me: it works.

You're probably asking youself: how can you try this... sleep. Well, it is easy as not attending this thread at 6 AM, and temporarily not being on the computer all together. The rest will follow suit. And the best part: It's Absolutely Free!

But don't just just listen to me, TRY SLEEP TODAY
