I had to disown my fav. mouse that's been with me for a long long time. I still think it's my messed up Vista, but for now I'm using a second mouse (that's like the same model, yet feels dif. in a lot of ways: like it's a cheaper ver and has a different bottom pad). It would double click 4/5 times on a click and this has been going on for a year until I couldn't take it. It's the only object I can say I've been touching more than I've touched myself.
