I actually a good amount of the genesis soundtrack more than saturns. Puppet Panic Zone Act 1 being one of those songs.Labyrinth felt like cancer.

Don't know why your having fun has to include making other people upset.@mewtwoman: No one's using trolling as an excuse for making bad posts. Our excuse is that we want to have fun. Neko has already mentioned this several times.
And of course that's not a good character trait. The only problem here is that you actually care about what strangers think about you. Most veterans on this site don't share that sentiment.

My problem is that an obviously big member of the Brawl community talked up a storm about another community and their game and caused a big conflict to arise. My problem is that multiple people have come in and making fun of those who got upset just because they didn't know you were being a troll. My problem is that this member agreed that what he did wasn't good, but instead of saying that it was a problem, he declared the only problem here was that MY problem is that I care what other people think about me when the reality is I actually don't give a flying-monkey's butt what strangers think about me. What I care about is the infighting between communities started because a senior board member decided they were bored and wanted to have fun. What I care about are the people making excuses for that behavior.
And if you don't wish to discuss this further, you don't have to reply to me. That's the power of will my friend.

Even for those who haven't played it, you can just tell this isn't a game you'd like to spend an extended amount of time playing. There's nothing wrong with liking a bad game in my opinion (I have a bunch of bootleg ass games that are hilarious to play because of how bad they are), and Sonic R really is a terrible game, but I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they're an eternally-forgiving radical die-hard Sonic fan. And if you're one of those, you've already been through a bunch of bad games anyway, why not add one more to your list.

I listed three.
I didn't really count games that personally disappointed me when I actually had expectations for Sonic Team not to blow it, or stuff on Game gear, since those games were all kind of....bad. It was game gear though, the entire handheld was kind of bad.
If that were the case. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1, Sonic Heroes, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Knuckles Chaotix, and the entirety of the Game Gear Sonic library would be on my list.

Also Sonic Adventure has one of the best soundtracks in the "modern" games.
Also Sonic 4 is absolutely awful. How DIMPS could fail at a 2D platforming engine that badly in this millennium is amazing.

You're the most safe playing S1-3 on the Genesis, Adventure on the Dreamcast (maybe Adventure 2), and maybe Colors and Generations. Sonic went through a really... pitiful period in his lifetime to put it one way.
Also, glad I'm not the only one who found Sonic 4 atrocious. Terrible physics, terrible level design, and terrible aesthetics (what the hell is that run animation and gross glossy look). The music is also mediocre which is a huge surprise for a series whose most consistent trait is stellar music.

Something like five years ago, I randomly decided to play that game. My father heard the stage 1 theme from another room and asked "Is that Sonic Spinball?" I have no idea why he still remembered that music.
This is purely my opinion, but I just don't like any of the Sonic games. Everything from game mechanics to characters I personally didn't enjoy. I didn't hate them, but I would never say I liked them. The only thing that I found respectable about the sonic games is the music, which were pretty damn awesome.

I would honestly lump the Sonic Adventure games in with all the bad ones, have you played them recently? If not, you should go replay them and see if you still think they're good. Also Sonic CD is just as good as 1-3 imo.

The Adventure games haven't aged well, exactly, but they're still two of my favorite games ever.

Continue to do so. Sonic games are generally trash, the obvious exceptions being SA2, Sonic '06, Unleashed, and S3&Knuckles.

It's not really the gameplay that does it in for me to be honest, it's just the general feel of Sonic and the supporting cast as characters themselves. They do nothing for me.

but that's b/c it actually got everything right, and something I've started to notice about sonic games is that when they start to get it right, they immediately throw it all away in favor of something else they're going to take an obsessive amount of time to figure out how to do properly

PM is a modded version of the game we play competitively. It is a complete mockery of brawl and melee as a whole. I like all smash games except modded versions for the most part. This is why it is not accepted by me or many others. I would be fine with it if they didn't patch the game every few months, completely change around smash related things (Adding solar beam, canceling
's down b, grabbing the edge while characters tether making it impossible to edge guard, etc...) and add back hundreds of stages to the point there is no ability to counterpick a stage, but oh well.There is a fine line between being a role model for smash and not. I accept the flaws of all games as created. PM doesn't accept flaws even though it's more flawed then brawl, melee, and 64.
