Soundtrack I can agree on. The racing mechanics felt really odd to me, honestly. Not the worst racer nor the worst game I've played by a long shot. Visuals were okay, and some concepts were neat. Mecha Knuckles looked really cool and I'm sad he hasn't shown up in an official game beyond this one.
If you asked me about worst game I'd say Heavy Nova on the Sega Genesis. Don't do it, I'm telling you...

I dont know about you. Maybe it was just because Tails is known to have godlike handling/acceleration in Sonic racing games, but playing with Tails, the game was super easy to control and really responsive to me. I rarely was off track and finding emeralds was a breeze.

I wish there were more foot racers like Sonic R.

EDIT: KC clearly has terrible ears.

Sonic R OST is superb.

You're a mutt.

Filthy creatures such as yourself should not speak in the presence of a purebred such as myself.
If we're not on the same level of "negro", then at least I don't have the same weakness that you people do. ¦D

Love ya, Neko. ¦3

I guess that's just the thing. I tend to favor heavyweights/speed characters in racers, and usually their handling, while it's comparatively worse, isn't unbearably difficult unless it's Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. Just the way I go about it, I guess.

I'm a refined negro. I have too much class to act like those...those...heathens.

Yeah I can't stand heavy weights.

I'm that guy that likes to sacrifice speed for great acceleration and handling. This way I can abuse mechanics to their maximum potential and cut the damages of my mistakes.

The hardest part is getting into first place though.

But I gotta tell you, Tails cant cut it at higher difficulties of SASRT because he's not fast enough.

Then you and I can clearly get along just fine, good sir. ¦(

And yeah, Acceleration and handling over Speed. That's why Knuckles always, ALWAYS handles better than Sonic in every racing game/minigame the series has had. Mostly so in Sonic R, SA2B's kart racing and ASR/ASRT.

A group here in SA actually played Sonic R a few nights ago. Four player mode is just hilarious.
Metal Knuckles is my favorite. :applejack:

I'll bop all of you with Tails.

Mark my words.

Nope I got it, it's just that "you shouldn't take things seriously" seems like a free pass to saying whatever you like. But whatever then.
It's not a free pass because it negatively impacts how people perceive them, their state, and their game by association.

But they dont care because they know they're acting for the sake of rustling jimmies lol.

How they act online and in person are so far detached it's absurd, because they see this forum as a game.

Either you ignore them and/or report them, or join in on it. Or you can succumb to them. It's your choice.

This is the last post I'm personally going to make on the matter because I want it to stop being brought up here.

sonic riders is one of the few sonic games that I legitimately had fun with, despite all of its obvious flaws

did I mention shadow is awesome...

You're insane. Sonic Riders was the best Sonic racing game that existed until All Star Racing came out.

Zero Gravity not so much. :applejack:

Sonic Riders was a lot of people's guilty pleasures. The game has so many terrible flaws, but for some reason there are way more people who enjoy it then there should, myself included.

I still think that despite how unrefined Sonic R is, it's more wholesome and more entertaining than Sonic Riders. No gimmicks outside stage exclusive gimmicks. Just runnin n jumpin.

Yeah...I also believe that trolling does not give people a legitimate excuse to say whatever they want. It's a very immature mind-set that the people who get bothered by childish comments are the ones at fault rather than the people actually delivering said comments.

I understand the whole argument that getting really upset about people saying dumb things on the internet is fruitless because people will always say dumb things on the internet, but I think the reason why people did get so upset is because it's big members of the Brawl community saying these things on a site many of us frequent daily. It's not wrong for members of the community to be upset when that level of trolling finds its way here.

And making the excuse that certain members always troll doesn't mean that nobody is allowed to be upset when childish and immature things are said. In the thread where this all went down, the trolling ended up going in the direction of homosexual slurs. Is that person forgiven because he was trolling? I think not.

A strong, respectable character trait amongst people is the uncanny ability to just let go. If what I did in the WHOBO thread was that upsetting, then I fear for when you receive genuine, distressing criticisms or attacks out there in reality-land.

Neko, you every try out Metal Knuckles? You can nearly glide over the entirety of the first track without hitting ground. It's absurd.

I play League all the time. Also, lol @ the idea of any Poppy not being free.

That is your favorite, all time Sonic game?
I can't... I... I don't...

Please...

Neko, as an aside, I was listening to some of Heroes OST on Youtube the other day, and read a comment about how someone remembers Seaside Hill's theme, and how it reminds him of his childhood.

I'm getting old. ; ;:applejack:

Sonic 3D blast is actually decent.

The saturn version is superior overall. Especially if you play with the analog pad.

I can think of 5 games worse than 3D blast.

If we're talking about good character traits, it would be fitting to mention the trait of not trying to purposefully rile everybody up just for the sake of making yourself feel satisfied. And in my previous reply, I did mention that it is fruitless to get upset over what you did, but I also understand why people got upset. I'm personally more upset that so many people are using the act of trolling as way to excuse bad posts.

If I'm feeling crappy one day, should I log on here and personally attack, and I mean really rail into a bunch of people on these boards. And after all the fighting and all the chaos has finished, make fun of them for falling for my "troll-traps" and say that I just take these boards as a joke? Is that a good character trait?

Tails Sky Patrol, Sonic Drift 1, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 06, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

@mewtwoman: No one's using trolling as an excuse for making bad posts. Our excuse is that we want to have fun. Neko has already mentioned this several times.

And of course that's not a good character trait. The only problem here is that you actually care about what strangers think about you. Most veterans on this site don't share that sentiment.

Now enough of this silly banter. I wanna talk more Sanic.
