At the very least try to make the music fit the stage. If you put heavy metal on Yoshi's Story, I'll put a heavy boot into your face.
(If you didn't notice, both are horribly uncomfortable).
Also, wanted to catch up on replies.
gonna repeat myself: if you aren't using the chillest beats for smashville, you're doing it wrong
nujabes ;_;7
****, meant to add Smashville alongside the others for music you could replace with whatever you want. I don't really play much AC so I don't really have big attachments to the music. I switch in and out a lot of stuff on SV between SFIII 3S music and Mighty Switch Force 1 and 2 stuff. Lots of good relaxed or upbeat stuff to put on there.
Such a stiff. Music is music. You gotta have your tunes, they pretty much identify your game.
I'm not stiff about it, I just prefer consistency. If you're going to do non-game music, make it work with the stage. Like I said in that post, BF, FD, and maybe one or two others are pretty free. The rest have a sort of atmosphere that go best with certain genres. Everyone has different tastes, but damn me if I'd prefer it for the music to be consistent.
