Melee players keep correcting me because I'm using Sheik's fthrow and bthrow incorrectly

But all I'm trying to do is dthrow melee why ;_;

Melee is a lot more finicky than PM is with how it registers the direction in which you throw.

I think you can probably send it back to microsoft to either, get a new one, or get yours repaired.

a Quick call to microsoft would answer that for you, probably.

And its probably the CD drive you need to replace (which is kinda easy to do...)

Only the CD drive needs to be replaced, but that's like a ~$90 fix. At least that's what they told me when it happened to my old Xbox.

Very true but it gives you extra stuff to do going to a new place though also sightseeing and trying out local diners.

Yeah, Sheik/CF were giving me f/b-throw instead of my down throw at a tourney yesterday. Other times before with say Marth I wouldn't get a throw out at all.

Do you not feel it yourself? What I want to find out is what's causing/different where it feels finicky like shairn said.

Melee is so good but yet so UGH. I'm all for playing Falco in Melee, there's no dissonance in my mind for me to play Fox or much of the other characters. The faulty coding making SHs a frame harder than they need to be making Fox and others a hassle, and the JC requirement for Up-smash too. Falco himself even becomes so much easier to control in PM, but the visuals and maybe the tightness of certain things themselves make playing him in Melee a bit more fun. My controller has some moderate play (loose non-registering drifting) in the control stick though, and it makes controlling optimally in Melee a lot more harder than in PM (which is what M2K always says with needing a great controller at a high level for Melee). Beyond that, I have another controller that has everything fine but stiff lame shoulder clicks: so it works great for the light press/Wifi version of PM but I gotta use my one with some problems unless I mess with the triggers and cut holes in the plastic thing. It's also got kind of recessed X and A buttons, others out there that struggle at early aerials could have this same problem with their controller: though people generally suck at early aerials.

Why did Brawl have the select screen cursor go at 4 pixels per hour? Was it circumstance of having a dual layer disc or something with lots of things to load? Melee boots up and you can select everything in a heartbeat.

Oh yeah, on Saturday I went to a friend's house to play Melee. I was just messing around and chose Pichu against his Falco, proceeded to kill him extremely early with Pichu's F-Smash every stock since it sent Falco really far off stage which resulted in me winning. This made him angry, so he went Fox and I chose Roy for the hell of it. I don't have a Roy whatsoever, and I was able to beat his Fox (his secondary), Falco, Sheik, Marth (his main), Falcon, and Jiggs with my nonexistent Roy. He was so salty; I don't even know what I did to play so well. I figured out then and there that Roy can tech chase with his D-Throw the first time I used it, and I've never tech chased with grabs before but I was nailing them on my first try. I think his biggest fault was that he doesn't crouch-cancel anything which netted me really good knockback, and he was getting aggressive and close which let me get sweetspotted F-Smashes a lot.

I wish Roy were viable because he's so fun to play, I'd play PM Roy but they don't feel the same at all.
