Can't believe you didn't mention splatoons.
It has no ETA though. For all I know it might come out in summer 2015.

Right as soon as they announce a date, that's going straight on my pre-order list.

I think items are genuinely not fun, though.

I don't even play competitively.
What do you do for fun in smash lol.

Grab range.
Weight
Wavedash length
RANGE
Tech roll / roll distance
Self damage

A bunch of stuff that ended up crippling the character.

He has pretty solid killing stuff, but his range is low and he is pretty susceptible to early % kills.
Pretty susceptible to combos as well. bad for a character that already is extremely light.
Shield size

Sometimes when I'm with friends we'll do FFAs, and when it's my turn to choose the stage I'll go pirate ship with Marth/CFalcon.
First thing I do is jump in the water and challenge everybody to the most dangerous game of water polo.

All I do with my friends is FFAs. If it's melee, they always go for Corneria. If it's PM, it's Corneria, Smashville and PS2.

I wish my friends were more invested in Smash ;_;

Play the game...?

My best friend and I play doubles against CPUs and try to do cool ****. Like, me tossing somebody off with Wario's backthrow, right into my friend who's using Flame Choke to grab a ledge, for the coolest Ganoncide ever.

He wasn't particularly happy about it, though. :p

imo any anime/manga where the setting is inside an MMORPG or other gaming world is mediocre at best.

I don't know if I can change your mind, but I can recommend you some anime/manga if you like. Out of curiosity, what do you not like about manga/anime and what have you read/watched that made you feel this way?

What I want to know is why liking SAO and Drrrrr evoke the response of "yeah thats ok", but Death Note is absolute garbage.

SAO is garbage, and what I was willing to watch of DRRR was uninspiring. Death Note is okay. I liked Code Geass a lot more.

I spent too much time reading cg fics for it to not be one of my enduring favourite anime.

Judging people for watching terrible shows is a learning experience. It makes you a better person.

I plan on achieving nirvana pretty soon, though I still enjoy some series so there's some work to do there.

there, I made it obvious for you
Starter anime's would be something like Full Metal Alchemist, Stein's Gate, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, or Soul Eater.

These Anime's are kinda like gateway drugs. You aren't ready for the heavy **** yet, so you start small. Take a small dosage of these bad boys and soon enough you're craving more. That's when you are ready for the heavy ****.

He said beyond entry level, so I assume he's seen them or ignored them at the very least

Yo monster and bacanno are some trippy ****, I love those shows. Same with gankutsuou count of monte cristo. I just love these types of anime.

Oh yea don't forget Fate Zero and Gurren Lagann

What do you usually care about in a show
hmmm, I enjoy shows that make me think. I want to be able to be able to think about a character's actions/thoughts/intentions/etc. without them being flat out told to me. I guess I'd say that I enjoy shows that don't flat out tell you things and let you figure it out for yourself. This doesn't mean the plot shouldn't have a focus, it's just when it comes to the details and intricacies I like to be left wondering why they were included... whether they have a purpose or not. I also value shows that have interesting character development, not shows like Naruto or DBZ where all the characters want to do is be strong or save people or some ****.

That's a really good question that I really should think about more.

I saw FMA, it was okay. Brotherhood was miles better. Cowboy Bebop will always be the best, but everyone says that ****.
and death note was the one of the worst anime i have ever seen in my life.

Sounds like the reasons why I've heard people enjoy Evangelion because of all the hidden meanings and other such implications or something along those lines.

Never watched it though, so don't consider it a suggestion from me. but the option is there.
