Question.

Is netplay even smoother than the matches we played?

I mean sure it wasn't local but that was probably the best lag-fi connection I've ever had. If netplay is smoother than that then I need to get in on that.

Also not bad sir.
ooooohhhhhhh NETPLAY!!!!!

I got good only off of playing netplay! I went to my first tournament a few weeks ago and actually got third! There are tournaments every weekend, some of them have 50+ entrants. Not only that, but well known players are also on netplay such as Anther, Squeak, Guy, TKBreezy, DLA, Oracle, Lunchables, Vanguard, Zero, Ikuzen the list goes on.

Anther also made this match making site where you gain ladder points from defeating other players, its awesome. If you play on wifi netplay will be a breathe of fresh air, as long as you dont have a bad computer like me you should be able to run very smoothly. Even if you have irl friend to play with you will still enjoy netplay.

So yea get it its really fun...

I found my 2010-11 era SD card, but it's chipped on the corner and won't read, any way to recover it's data so I can have all those delicious pre-model-import hacks? I think I might even have some terribad wips from then in there too.

Well this is a strange day for the thread to say the least.

Google's Rubik's Cube is disorienting as hell and it's awkward to even pick a side and twist it to where you want it to go. I'll stick to the real thing.

When I played PM on netplay it was way less laggy than when I played Melee on it, apparently the people who I played Melee with had worse connections and in general I had an easier time beating them, when I played PM I got wrecked every few games but the connection was really good while it happened.

I've definitely got the net for netplay. Playing with Para showed me that since the connecting was really smooth for Wi-fi. Smoothest it's ever been for me.

Now the computer on the other hand...

Is there a way to wavedash OOS in PM other than reassigning inputs?

I remember something about modifying triggers.

Probably? I'd expect light shielding at some point, even if it didn't work 100% the same as Melee.

Alright Mad, if you're still up I'll see about getting on Wifi. You'll be the last person I play on Wifi!

Yay, I finally took a game off of @Professor Pro =V

...in freeplay

...at 3 am

...out of three or more hours of continuous play

... right after I told him I wouldn't let him sleep until I beat him.

Yeah. I think I'll just go back to the lab and drown my sorrow by spamming tech skill for a bit :V

Oh btw we did a small side event (34 players, pretty much one third UK, one third French, one third German) at the French MLG qualifier and it was pretty hype. *Zen beat aMSa, then Prof beat *Zen, then aMSa beat *Zen, and then Prof 3-0'd aMSa in GF. aMSa's recovery strats with Lucario were incredible. At one point he did not have his jump and was pretty low, so he did upB, cancelled it, down B to get a bit of distance, and then climbed up the Yoshi's Island wall by doing walljumps and B reversed aura charges. I'll link the replays when I have them, in about two-three weeks =3

Time for the Netplay master race to emerge.

BTW I'm not gonna value Online multiplayer over Local multiplayer on Consoles anymore....

So guys, question for those who know: If I wanted to get into videogame design, what should I do before and/or during college to get me there?
