I half expected that brawl video to be just them standing completely still until the timer ran out. It would have been incredibly boring, but hilarious at the same time.

It was nice to see Metaknight get stomped into the ground, but at the same time it left me kind of blah about how simple and BS that chaingrab looked. So glad they're getting rid of Ice Climber's 0-Death grab shenanigans in P:M.

what's with the spanish learning in the background
Literally put it there for you to ask that lol.

Edit: Was in my playlist since I'm seriously still trying to get good at Spanish. Originally I tried exporting this DnB song from a huge 1 hour mix file and it froze the program.

You guys definitely need to check out Big House 3. It'll be your first chance to see the clone engine in action.

The worst thing for me from switching between P:M and Melee is the lack of RAR. In Melee "He's recovering toward the ledge I can't RAR Jump/WD to GRAB IT ARGH WHAT DID I EVEN USE TO DO IN THIS SITUATION", then I go into P:M/Brawl and forget RAR exists and discover it's amazing all over again.
I mention this because I'm preparing to do a lot of Melee Netplay over Dolphin. Dolphin is so good now along with dual-core not desyncing that it works great on my laptop with i3 core and 4gig ram. Set your graphics to 3d9 instead of 3d11 for more fps (hopefully ull reach a constant 60fps like I did)
http://smashboards.com/threads/dolphin-online-melee-netplay.335432/

Also besides that, initiating a throw sometimes doesn't work because it requires a more thorough direction input or something. Platforms also suck in Melee, as in they don't like to cooperate with me wave-landing on them: which makes coming close to my movement in P:M impossible http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAw6bTOUyXg

I keep feelin like I should switch to learning German from listening to so much Rammstein, do they have that same problem? I already got a decent grasp on Spanish, but I still can't "trill" for crap; while in German I don't think as much of the pronunciation escapes my grasp as far as I know (they still got their own rolling R thing though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIBeYoP9Wi0&feature=player_detailpage#t=161 , English doesn't seem to teach us any of these cool things.

Do what you want, don't let anyone from the internet tell you what to do.
Although I wouldn't learn a language just because I listen to some band

this would actually make sense, if brawl ic's cg's weren't so piss easy

Uh, what? Brawls IC chaingrabs are much much much harder than melees. One frame regrabs on several characters with different timings for every character make them much harder than melee IC chaingrabs. I'm able to cg easily in melee without practicing it at all, the brawl chaingrabs require a lot of practice to do consistently in a tournament setting.

Stop theses wortheless arguements, we are smashers, not brawlers or melee-ers. Accept smash bros in any kind or way that it is.

I mean...I'm not even arguing melee vs brawl lol I just think it's silly when people try to compare things when they have no idea what they are talking about and dislike the spread of misinformation.

On that note...I'm pretty damn good at every smash game. Someone money match me in 64/melee/brawl/pm :p.

I dominate my group of friends at 64. I like it because I can actually play my favorite smash character, and he's legitimately my best one. Yoshi ftw!

I'm pretty ok at Melee. It's the first game I got into learning on a serious level.

Brawl I'm also pretty good at. I like the game just as much as the others, so everyone can stfu. It's plenty good.

PM is still my favorite. It's the one my buddies and I currently play all the time, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Every time we say "we should start playing vBrawl more" or "yo, oldschool 64 is hype, we need to break that out next time!" we never do it. We always load up PM. I think I'm pretty good at it. All my skill from the other games translates over quite well.

I find there isn't much reason for me to go back to 64 besides the old-school factor and appreciating the roots of Smash. Melee is just miles better, it's an improvement in practically every aspect. The graphics are better, the gameplay is more polished and refined, more characters, stages and content, etc. I'll boot it up when I feel like playing a Kirby that's actually good, but that's about it.

I probably would've disliked Brawl less if all the characters I enjoyed playing in past games didn't range from mediocre to garbage. Just a little.

You mean hand-offs? But those are so damn difficult! I honestly find the Brawl chain grabs much easier to do unless you're doing it to Snake.

Much like how I personally don't like RE6 and personally don't like Diablo III, I personally don't like Brawl. I don't see what's so wrong about saying that I don't like this game. It's an opinion man.

If you look at Brawl from an objective perspective, it's not a good competitive game. As a casual game though, it's all opinions. I don't like it, but I come from the old school of gaming that thinks responsiveness is more important than anything, even if it must go at the expense of animation quality. Efficient animations versus pretty animations.

I can get used to all the other nuances, but this bugs me the most. It always messes me up when I transition from PM to melee and I try to do something that requires finesse on the control stick like DD into retreating laser. I wonder if PMBR plans to revert tilt/smash input sensitivity or ATLEAST provide a control scheme option for it. Like, i know some of them are starting to worryabout the whole "because melee" thing, but i don't think it's unreasonable to ask that at least the controls be consistent for those of that enjoy both (or SDR in my case, that delicious M2).
