@ SpiderMad your the guy who makes tutorials on PM Depot right? Why don't you talk to PMBR or send them an email, you've got some great tutorials and you seem to be the only one thats constantly making tutorials for universal techniques and such.

Just got blown up by a fox player at my friend's local project M fest. It was a first to 5 set, i won the first 2 matchs ( the first with falcon, and the second with sopo) and he won..... 5 matchs in a row. And it was weird because he started out pretty defensive, but then he went uber aggressive.

TL:DR Pmbr nerf the living hell outta fox because im salty as hell ( lol )

Sounds like he was learning your habits to begin with and then the download finished by the third round. Doesn't sound fun

Can you teach me? I want to make Song tutorials lol, but I need to learn just about everything on how to make songs using either generated sound programs or cheap instruments I have as well as writing lyrics. I also can't sing and sound horrible but I want to see if practice somehow can make a voice more tolerable enough for humorous songs lol.

Thanks that means a lot. I've had a passion to learn Smash and make the tutorials people never cared to of how to do things, including showing their hands, but I'm certain others will finally start doing the same especially with Dolphin and this controller showing thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61vnG6dQiA4 . I'd be making tutorials this way but my computer can only run PM with 1 character on-screen let alone record as well so I had to use a camera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nYWNayYVLo , there's no excuses though because people forget most of my videos were and still are me using my $50 phone to record my hands and then play back the replay and film the TV. Also VGbootcamp's Metagame minute was one of my inspirations, along with my friends Tango and Octorok.

I'd be honored to be PMBR, but my main wish I'd ask of people is to support Light Press Air dodge. Zhime and others feel the same way.

The cancel window probably exists because R+A+Control-Stick is the input for throwing items and it would be too hard if you had to be frame perfect. The airdodge-cancel existed in Melee, but you didn't keep the momentum. I guess the game was programmed to take away Airdodge momentum on throw-cancel in Melee, because AGTs had been anticipated and where unwanted, but that programming wasn't implemented in Brawl because airdodges didn't change your momentum.

That seems to make sense, R+A+Control stick for throw though I don't get: so throwing out of shield they gave a grace period if you accidentally pressed forward while pressing A to not accidentally roll? So it kind of fits in line with how Bone0 said Jump cancelling pry exists for Up-smash as well and you can F-smash from the beginning of a Dash for a few frames. How do you know so much?

Z = R+A is the input for throwing battering items you don't automatically throw by pressing A. So for throwing it on the ground you'd usually press forward+R->A (if not using Z). Almost all of the cancels explain themselves with such a line of thinking, thus I always just assumed such were the reasons (except for DACUS, I don't get DACUS - why does an UpSmash cancel a DA if and only if you're holding a direction on the C-Stick and only within a window of [jumpstart]-2?). I mean, Smash was born from the idea of making an accessible fighting game, so it's full of small things to make the game easier - that then end up getting abused by us.

I'd wager the main reason you can throw items oos to begin with is so you don't accidentally shield when trying to throw an item, but that's not as clear as other cancels.
Edit: On second thought, grabbing while holding an item wouldn't make sense. It's more likely it was the other way around and the throw input was made to be the same as the grab input (I can't grab somebody while holding an item, so I'll throw it away instead to then be able to grab).

Lolol this is the usual reaction i get whenever i tell peeps i play sopo :3. But believe it or not, i did better during the set with sopo then i did with falcon ( my falcon needs serious training).
But I have to admit.... he did kinda download the hell outta me.

That's an awesomely rad idea! Nothing better than doing tutorials WHILE learning it so the whole process is done and very for-real. I can help with everything but the electronic programming and generator stuff for sure. For starters I'll link a couple things.
This is kind of random but it's along the lines of something that might help and he uses a musical thing as an example at the end for his own personal practice.

Then I suggest reading the book The Music Lesson that this bassist guy named Victor Wooten wrote because it covers a lot of cool stuff like the difference and importance of rhythm vs notes or whatever.
You would get great starts with that kind of stuff and go from there. Any questions just ask I and someone will answer. I know there are a lot of other good musicians and producers and arrangers around the smash community!
