Any of you fine fellows playing Diablo 3 now that Reaper of Souls is out (And the game doesn't suck anymore?)

I'd play it if I didn't a have to pay full price for the game, then have to pay extra for them to fix it.

I'll take that into consideration.

I used to be Big on D2. Never picked up D3 because of the problems.

This could be promising.
I think you can get Vanilla D3 cheaper these days. They had a sale not too long ago where it was like $20 or something crazy. But RoS is what adds a lot of the replay value, even though generic D3 is quite a bit better now as well.

Note; the patch that changes the structure of rewards and replayability in Diablo 3 applies to the vanilla version as well. The expansion only adds the higher level cap, the Crusader, the new Act and Adventure Mode.

If you already have the vanilla version of the game, I'd suggest patching it and giving it a go to see if the changes are to your liking.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Lucas? He feels AMAZING. I think I just found the character I was looking for, thank you PMBR.

My parents were never really into allowance. I just got to get my money from christmas, birthday, and even easter some years. Allowance always seemed like a dream come true for me, but now I realize that I had it pretty good.

I've entered a bunch, but none of my brackets are "approved" or anything, so I'm not on the rankings.

Yeah, I never got an allowance either. Only birthday and Christmas money, and the occasional good grades money from my grandfather when he felt like it. Other than that... nada.

Guess.
Why does my L button on my GC controller feel weird all of a sudden? Feels like I need to use the power of Zeus on it...

On the upside, I'm off to the Heart of Gaming down in London tomorrow! Wish me luck.

I don't like how in Diablo you die......and spawn back exactly where you were no penalty.

I also don't like the idea of hardcore mode either, die and you lose everything.

There has to be a middle ground there with level checkpoints or some reasonable penalty for losing.

@ Comeback Kid Comeback Kid well, when you die it degrades your armor and if you die enough you gotta repair it. So it sorta costs money to die, but I never felt like I didn't have enough money. Of course, I played the Auction House decently well. Now my buddy, whom I played with, was always complaining about being broke from armor costs. And he isn't bad at video games. But this was back in the day when the hard difficulties were ****ing hard.

Edit: talkin' 'bout D3

D2 did death pretty awesomely.

Die and lose all your stuff temorarily.
Which can become permanently if you don't handle the situation properly (get killed on your way back to your body, or you leave without retrieving it or something).

I don't know what that guy was talking about with "no penalties".

Also didn't you lose experience points when you died? At higher levels that could be hours/days of work gone, even if you're not playing on Hardcore.

You lost EXP in Diablo 2 if you were playing in Hell difficulty.

In Diablo 3 you can only respawn at your corpse twice I think, and then you're forced back to a checkpoint. Then again, if you dislike the "ease" of that, you can just respawn at a checkpoint/in town anyways.

Seeing as how it's a mechanic that would just waste my time walking back to my corpse, I'm fine spawning right back.

What do you mean by just? GO PLAY ALL THE CHARACTERS BECAUSE THEY'RE MIGHT BE ANOTHER DREAM CHAR!
Especially if it took you this long to click on the guys icon or whatever and play a match.
WHAT WERE YOU DOING THE WHOLE TIME!?
