port town is balanced ppl should have that on in tournament

at the very least it makes as much sense as having ps1 and ps2 on simultaneously <.<

also yesterday i got the DIRTIEST charizard combo it was like dair to fair to fair to glide attack and we were all the way in the blastzone but it didn't get recorded :(

Yeah I'd just like to say that that was pretty stupid at Apex. "Oh you banned PS2? lemme just pick ps1" or vice versa. Why should i have to use 2 of my 3 bans just not to play on a ps stage if i didnt want to

Yeah Project M works for me finally, after half a year of suffocation. You could probably imagine how I was hyped when it worked.
I like to quote Captain Falcon here:
"YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!
That's how I feel every time I open the damn game. So like, erryday.

The PMBR still has the chance to change everything. To re-write the ultimate sin, to make everything in the universe right again.

For the love of God and the eternal souls of all Smash Bros fans, please, please change Goldeen into Magikarp.

If I'm getting a goddamn useless pokemon from my pokeballs, I want it to be THE goddamn useless pokemon. Seriously, who chose Goldeen in the first place? Did they even play the games? Watch the show? ***** couldn't even learn Splash. And they didn't add the pokemon who practically defined useless by pretty much only knowing that move?

Plz fix, PMBR.

Pokemon stadium 2 and 1 play preeeeeeeetty differently considering one's a starter and the other has transformations... :V
granted. but i think it's arguable that you pick a ps stage for the initial platform layout

EDIT: and obviously ps2 is superior. why have both legal?

1. if you're picking one of the stadiums, it's mostly for the plat layout, long stage, & high ceiling.
2. if you're picking ps1 for the uninteractable awful rock/fire stages, idk why you're even playing smash because you're wanting to not play smash
3. ps2 is objectively better.
pls make battlefield 2 where it's the same stage but transforms into 3 different banned stages randomly every 30 seconds

The PMBR could switch Dracula's Castle in place of Pokemon Stadium. Usually anything in the third row doesn't see much use, but it would still be there in case someone wanted it on their stage list.

I never really got why PS1 was considered for tournaments in P:M when PS2 exists. ANY other stage could replace it for tournament play and I'd be content.

A couple years back I was making the argument that PS1 is a bad stage and shouldn't be used because half the transformations are terrible and noninteractive, and that there's no reason to use it with better options available.
I was told I was stupid and wrong because Melee :(

I have an idea for an alteration to castle siege, why not vertex edit the 1st stage you start off with to be flat with those 2 top platforms so it's more like PS2 with walls on each side, and for the 2nd stage after the transition, just flatten it out to make it like FD, maybe vertex edit it to give it walls(to make the transition part I explain next easier)

Then for the transformation, keep the same collisions from the 1st stage during the transformation(that means get rid of the walk-off collisions) and have a white outline of the stage collisions, then have the stage transform like PS1 does into the 2nd stage

Just something I randomly thought of today

"Oh, your safely on the stage, well a stage transition can fix that! Let's make you fall through the floor for no reason without warning!"

so yeah.....obviously people here know about it by now but....nintendo apparently does hate project M..their nazi mods at miiverse delete anyone's postings about project m due to "discussing criminal activity"

:/

though this does make me worry about one thing...if they're so against it (clearly cuz they're pretty quick on the miiverse posts deleting em....) why have they left Project M alone for the most part?

more bad publicity which they don't need right now?
or are they possibly planning something big and just waiting for the release of smash 4 before they try to take out Project M?

IDK, I just always kept hearing a lot from the project M team that apparently nintendo didn't really care, but how strict they are about discussing it on miiverse says otherwise, I just worry they might really decide to pull a C&D on project M....

Castle Siege is fine as it is imo.
It's not necessarily legal in a conservative stagelist (and you can make arguments against it in a more liberal list) but it's not the layout itself that's an issue of Castle Siege imo. The layout is fine, and the slopes actually make for a very interesting dynamic imo, like for Sheik she can abuse the lowground with her crawl. And it's cool that you can't just use it as another FD for characters like Marth because it eventually changes.
If there's an issue with Castle Siege it's that there are already too many viable stages, and that's a real problem when it comes to our CP system.

So you're saying we need to ban Yoshi's Story because Randall right?

There's a difference between a transition and an existing entity that you could time his appearances quite easily with the match timer.

Which is fine in casual play. But in a tournament?

Does anyone have the chart that displays various technical stats for the cast? Stats including values for jumpsquat and such?

The problem with castle siege is not the layout or the fact that it transforms, it's the totally ******** means by which it goes about it. A walk-off platform that, instead of just disappearing after the transform completes, as would be the obvious logical way to go about things, continues to drag characters down to their potential deaths should they find themselves off-stage afterwards. The monotonous background durring the transition that makes it easy to lose track of the characters' positions relative to the blast zones doesn't help either. Seriously wtf were the brawl devs thinking with that ****.

I meant how the first stage's overall layout nearly matches Skyloft, save for the wall on the right. The only reason I go to CS is for FE music.

First layout of CS is much better than Skyloft. That's what Skyloft should have looked like, if they wanted the platforms. You don't put high platforms far away from each other.

Castle Siege transformations are based on a timer.
