After they've been operating for only like, what, five weeks? What did you expect, that they'd have a beta for something or some ****? Calm down.

technical challenge is good. i enjoy improving my execution and seeing results from it.

mr wizard is dumb. PM is good. nintendo is overstepping the role of developer to force people to advertise their games for free, which is scummy. i don't care if they made the game, they're ****ting all over and abusing the smash communities. melee doesn't need a billion majors a year. all these majors don't matter to tournament attendees, they matter to tournament spectators. at this point i could not care less how many people are at a tournament when a god (probably armada) is going to win it no matter what. and i play the game to play the game, not to watch it, so all these retardedly huge tournaments? they do nothing for me. it just means pools take longer before any good matches happen, and the production quality is a little higher. but that's all fluff. majors are no longer about the players, they're entirely about the money and the viewers. and i'd rather have majors with significantly capped entrants or even no majors at all than these hulking beasts of commercialism which harm the community. nintendo already made money from all these games, now they're just trying to double dip and wring out every penny from the efforts of others. lets players owe nintendo nothing, tournaments owe nintendo nothing. they already payed for the game ffs. nintendo produces video games, not tournaments or opinions and reactions. what a ****ing disaster of a company. they're in the ****ing corporate dark ages.

rivals of aether is an okay game but it's not great. parrying is dumb.

It's like you haven't played a doujin fighter, or are more likely one of those people who played one for three minutes and got his ass beat and thought it was 'too gimmicky'. Doujin fighters require tighter execution than traditional 2D fighters.
