RE Fire Emblem Fates - as long as the gameplay is good I'll be happy. Don't care, and never will care, about fan service. Has never bothered me negatively or positively. I think the "Amie" thing is hilarious and see it as a tool simply for me own amusement to have a good laugh over. My Castle actually looks like a good idea all around and I don't get why people have issues with it. The gameplay seems to be going back on track, at least with Nohr, after the disappointment Awakening was in that regard. As long as the controls aren't finnicky and the gameplay is good I'm not going to be too picky about everything else.

None of this would be a problem if you people just supported good western franchises.

Guys, I still need halp.

Ok I need some help real quick. Trying to replace Dark Toon Link's model with a Dark Outset Toon Link model (csp is already replaced) but it isn't working. I know the costume number is 06 and I know the files are written correctly (FitToonLink06.pac (and of course .pcs) but for some reason his in game model refuses to change to the new model and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Help please. What am I doing wrong?

My issue with the My Castle thing is that it feels needlessly tacked on. I'm a huge stickler for consistent tone and experience, and so..the fact that there's something meant solely for fanservice with no bearing on plot, and writing that is at odds with what is supposedly going to be one of FE's darker stories feels like it is a detraction from the package as a whole.

What if they worked it in? Maybe the sex and romance would be a reaction to the brutality of the war, or a consequence of a relationship that's been built up. Or perhaps tied into political maneuverings of the cast. I'd actually see a lot of merit in there if that were the case. But no, it's just fanservice. It's not even done as the player character-it's in first person, meaning it's directed at the player, and that's actually pretty important.

But that's my own bias towards consistent pieces of media speaking.

As for your issue @ mimgrim maybe you haven't replaced a specific file that controls the textures used for the in-game model? I'm not familiar with modding Brawl/PM, but that sounds like the likely cause, unless there's something else that goes into this.

In junior high I came to the conclusion that the meaning of life was to prove the existence of everything. I don't really know anymore. That would be the same as saying that anything that has existed without anything taking note of it or its effects and results would be the same as not existing. And because the world will reach complete entropy someday all life too will perish unless a being that I'd be willing to describe as god comes to be.

So there you have it. All these assumptions and a haze only achievable by staying up till 3 am after a day of physical labour have given me enlightenment. Either god exists or will or we won't exist someday.

Played through the witcher 2 and finished finally, tbh the whole game was kind of a poorly executed slog but it wasn't terribly bad until act 3 where you could tell the budget was running dry

Started the Witcher 3 2 days ago and.... holy **** this game is good. Like mostly everything I had an issue with in the second one was fixed, and everything that was good in the 2nd one is even better.
