yes we definitely need drug law reform, police force reform, and affirmative action as well those are also very large things but not as related to todays decision in terms of lgtbq rights
tbh just remove government imo

But in all seriousness, y'all heard of the Hanseatic League? It was hella cash, yo.
Private defense, on all levels, is both possible and preferable. Come at me.

Now to catch up with Western Europe in their superior measuring system, their better health care, less religious influences in daily life, their lower crime rates, better education... Eh baby steps I guess

Yo, not so fast with the "good on you"'s buckaroo. We've still let Trump run for president. We can still **** up yet! :D
IIRC he's the lowest polling presidential candidate.

Also been meaning to say this, I like a lot of what Bernie Sanders says too, but all the republicans have to do is point out that he's a socialist (since he pretty much is) and he will lose the election.

'merica ain't ready for someone who wants to give more to the people.

However, we must acknowledge that, in the past, gay marriage was taken as fundamentally the same sort of unacceptable relationship for whatever reason. We must further acknowledge that it can change again, and that new forms of 'marriage' will become accepted as fundamentally moral or sound, no matter how immoral they are.
Morality is constructed by culture.

He also has zero foreign policy experience/knowledge, which is definitely going to come up as a bit of a hot-button issue due to stuff going on out east of the U.S.

Probably going to get a cabinet slot if Democrats win in 2016, though. Secretary of the Treasury seems optimal.

I'd vote Dan Bilzerian, at least he looks strong.

Even though his Instagram kinda makes you want to reevaluate your life.

He's a pretty decent candidate.

As a native Marylander, I'm actually pushing Martin O'Malley because he made the state amazing to live in for a while. Really smart, fun guy. Granted, he's not going to get enough support, more than likely, but it's his first go and he's getting his feet wet.

EDIT: @ Bazkip Bazkip that rainbow kappa tho

The Republican strategy is so legit this year. Their primary is going to be so interesting.

I hate the Clintons, now how many years must I wait before I see a real interesting democratic primary.
At least a Clinton presidency would be interesting.

EDIT: SMASHBOARDS IS LGBT PRIDE NOW. @Warchamp7

I totally read that as 'my marriage is legal now' as if you were doing some kind of underage marriage or something weird, and they finally came of age or something.
This makes way more sense though.

@Player -0 oooh k weird.

Y'all talking about voting?!

HMMMMMM.

Which probable representative has any potential of ending the federal reserve, governmental intelligence agencies, the welfare state, ANY congressional departments of (x, such as agriculture, and education), and / or the military-industrial-congressional complex?
None? Huh... Sorry, I don't have much to talk about, then. :D

Oh hey, I can actually gain legal and societal standing regardless of what gender I end up with in a lifelong commitment now. yaaaay!
So for those who are saying "so what, why would you want to get married?", and don't think much of the commitment aspect of it...
I have one word: Taxes.
There's actual, tangible benefits to being married(more than just taxes), and not being recognized as legally married can be a detriment. Obviously, you don't need to be married to spend the rest of your life with someone, but I'd like the same benefits as everyone else for doing so if it's going to be a legally binding contract, regardless of where in the USA I go.

EDIT: @Player -0 I didn't send you roses because I'm secretly a terrible person who hates pretty things in all it's forms. Now excuse me as I go and buy a frilly dress.

Why would you ever elect someone to government who hates the government as a concept and doesn't want to do anything? Gridlock is so bad because of **** like that. And then when you elect somebody like Rand Paul, he sells out all of his supposed principles when it's convenient.

Monk had a perfect opportunity to sell us on the idea that the state contract known as marriage should be abolished along with the legal perks that come with it. Could have gotten a bunch of single people and lone wolf types on the fence on his side.

Instead he takes a very cheap shot on this of all days and decides to equate gay people with deviants like pedophiles who are creating a slippery slope into immorality. The typical far right wing Evangelical argument for why gays should be second-class citizens. Might as well tell us that interracial dating is when society lost its genetic purity.

Libertarians try so hard to convince us they aren't the typical bible thumping conservatives, yet on all the important non-drug social issues and even most economic ones they are exactly like them when they show their true colors.

My friend informs me that Idaho's Governor had a speech today about how he's super angry about the gay marriage thing. Whatever, its not his choice anyways.

Regardless, this anti-gay politician's name?

Butch Otter.

His wife?

Gay Otter.

HOO.

YOU CANT WRITE THIS **** BOYS

Grill confirmed.

I meant that government shouldn't give benifits for finicky social intricacies like marriage. They are bound to **** up something that they need no hand in.

I reject labeling my viewpoint, as that is really up to others and just forces you into a rhetoric, but writing off an entire party as not being truthful about what they are is just too harsh.

It's not just the government, it also has effects on insurance payments as well. There's a lot of benefits to being married.

And I admitted to being a grill a while ago. Like, within the first 2 weeks or so. I make dem steaks sizzle, remember?

I also think that this really should have been done legislatively, but also don't care because public opinion was so strongly in favor of this.

Benevolent dictatorship is better anyway.

This is actually democracy failing twice, as this shouldn't have happened in the first place. Law should have changed sooner.

Taxes shouldn't exist.
Excuse me, I forgot to toggle my extremist setting.
Taxes shouldn't make exceptions for marital status.
edit: **** i read your post wrong nevermind

Also, on your societal point... Society, though it sometimes looks to government for self-validation, isn't necessarily accepting of a government's laws. It would do well to point out that a given society can accept them, and another reject them, regardless of its legal status, therefore they can be validated or invalidated from a societal standpoint regardless.

Either way, government is pretty **** in a capitalist setting, but I'm hardly convinced socialism always produces better outcomes, by trading capitalism for it you are just trading out the problems.

And some people here want to live in communes and I just think that is a very bad idea.
