So im likely to go to my first tournament (kind of) in april, itll be held in kuwait. Last year, v115 attended, I didnt because it was in june, during my finals. Ive asked the TO if he'll bring players and said that mr. R agreed and will be able to come, but then he tells me that he's discussing with their community if he should bring in good players or not. The reason for that is because he wants to give people a chance to not get completely rekt and for more people to be able to win. I kind of understand why, BUT IM ****ING MAD RIGHT NOW BECAUSE ILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THAT DUMB LOGIC. JUST GET BODIED WHO CARES I WANT TO PLAY MR. R. WHY DO I ALWAYS SUFFER.

If you don't bring in at least a few good players it'll take longer for everyone else to get better.

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask, but I was hoping I could get some advice regarding my mindset during tournaments. I've been to a few (mostly just small local tournaments) and I feel like I always play significantly worse than I do in friendlies. I'm not really nervous, I think I just have a bad mentality that causes me to play too safe and think too much.

This is very simple and I think that people are overreacting to say the least. I just read some of the reddit comments and it's actually cancer right now. Once again the smash community shows its maturity by attacking Sky Williams for whatever reason.

I don't even think this is even his personal opinion, or at least why would it be? He's not one of smash's "community leaders" (whatever the **** that means LOL). He doesn't host tournaments, he just commentates and plays at them.

I want to also point out that he's got a point at least for NINTENDO sponsored events. PM will never be at them, but that doesn't mean PM will disappear.

Also if the aim of the game is a completely different one (most sales vs good competitive Smash game), I wouldn't necessarily say that Nintendo did a bad job, they only didn't do it the way we wanted it.
