Just an example of his work, it's sped up but you can tell what he's doing for the most part, make sure to watch it fullscreen/HD. I recommend watching all of the episodes from the beginning though if you have spare time... really helpful stuff.

I had the full intention of censoring in some way, and the picture ended up being declared as a gender bend of my good buddy Drew (He and my friend Diana guided me on how to color it xD)

Color is one of those really weird ambiguous things that can really do anything if you have proper control. Sometimes a piece is better without much color, sometimes a really boring drawing can become really awesome, it all depends on what you're going for. Color can really add emotional content and mood/ atmosphere, but it's so hard to master. :/

So to directly answer your question, color (lack thereof counts as well) effects everything.

also gender bends are hilarious. When you know skeletal and muscular differences between genders and you can hit it really accurately it makes for a great late night drunken party trick.
