Pokemon the 5th gen

Well, it looks like it's gettin close to that time again. Taking into account previous releases we're due to start seeing new pokemon. One these new pokemon is set to unveil in the upcoming pokemon movie. So far all we have is this picture.

I can already hear the cries of "more pokemon!?"

But seriously since the 4th Gen, its been annoying for me whenever a new one if coming. Everyone complained about the designs and wooh, but I learned to like it. Besides, the legendaries are really cool.

Now for a 5th, it would probably be the same, however I just hope they wont overload with evolutions on previous gen. Pokemon, OR overload with useless legendaries. And I hope more then anything that Farfetch'd wont get an evolution, he's the oldest Pokemon who doesnt have one, let him me original! ]:

And the small parts on that picture made me think of Shaymins Sky Formes ears for some reason.

That thread was made when we didn't have any infomation on the 5th gen..at all. It's just fan ideas. I could make a thread called pokemon the 6th gen and then come back in two years and say "hey guys we already have a thread for this".

Personally, I think that that thread is pretty unrealistic in that a Pokemon of the same species would change type into 2 completely different types. That would be like saying there could be a hybrid Pokemon between to Species, meaning that a Flotzal+Dragonite= Flotzanite or some crap like that. Even if Pokemon were to take that kind of approach and try to use real nature in their games, it would also take a ****load of time to make a Pokemon change to fit into a Climate/ Habitat. Pokemon was made to entertain little kids, not to be like Spore and check how would Charizard would look like if he were Ice-type. I think you guys (or girls =P) are just trying to overthink Pokemon and make it too much into something it was never meant to be. It would completely change the whole game style of Pokemon and...ya. I dunno where I started lol. Sorry if I offended anyone.

We still have no information about the 5th Gen. All we have is a clipping of what seems to be an ear. Okay, so one new Pokemon's existence has been revealed. That was a given that it would happen, as we've all come to realize. Nintendo isn't going to stop the Pokemon games now - the 4th Gen has been extremely successful, so why cease to create more? The thing is, my 5th Gen Thread hasn't been inactive for two years - in fact, it has constantly been active (albeit not as much as the CPS).

So, this thread is inherently pointless and deserves a lock, as there is already a thread for discussion regarding the 5th Gen. People discuss SSB4, despite having absolutely no information provided regarding the game, so why must we have an entirely new thread all because you found a picture of a new Pokemon? Had you named this thread "first new Pokemon hinted at", or something of the like, this would be a completely different story. I'm sorry that I started a 5th Gen thread before you and its longevity and success far outweighs this one. I'd like to have started the Zelda thread in the Light House, but I didn't. I still post there somewhat regularly because a thread is a thread.

Many, many others have followed in my footsteps and posted their ideas also.

You have to start somewhere, so I decided to accumulate all of my ideas that had originated in other threads prior to its creation regarding what I would like in the 5th Gen, not what was necessarily reasonable. Many, many others have followed in my footsteps and posted their ideas also.

But after that, most of the ideas became to be reptivive and dull (no offence). But want I didn't like about the way you reacted was (not completly directed at you Spire III, but sorta directed at you SkylerOcon) how this thread is I think (will be lol) more devoted to the more pratical and more likely approch on how the 5th Generation will be like, similar to the way that, and possible, this thread could become more important because it is more practical. Your thread on the other hand has little to do with the 5th generation, so it should be named something else (don't look at me for ideas lol). But I guess you do have a point: there really hasn't been alot of information realeased so this thread so logically not exist. But your thread has become reptitive in that most of the ideas have already been touched on and really just braniching off of the ealier ideas, so I guess maybe your thread should be locked because of its depleted ideas and also it really has nothing to do on what would probably happen, while this thread is more of topic with the 5th generation of Pokemanz.

Talk about repetitive. That entire paragraph said the same idea over and over and over. Learn to structure your sentences and to not be a hypocrite.

Here's the thing - and I will reiterate myself, AGAIN. My thread was not just about my ideas. Initially, it focused on what I had posted in my OP, but it soon branched into others' ideas related (and not) to my own. When there's a thread for a subject (and that thread remains active), and a new thread pops up about the same, exact thing, then the latter gets locked.

Didn't he just explain this?

His thread is about speculation for 5th gen until we have info. While his ideas were wild and maybe not realistic, all of us liked them. People also speculated tons of unrealistic stuff for Brawl, but would you seriously say that unreal speculation about Brawl was lockable?

This thread really has nothing more to do with fifth gen than his thread except that this thread presented a picture.
And in that case, are you HONESTLY saying that the 8-month-old thread should make way for this thread? Changing its name or getting locked is doing just that.

I saw yours as just something for fan ideas, a mod posted here ,did not close it, so maybe he saw it the same way. Congratulations on having a more successful thread, I would hope it has been considering I just made this post yesterday.

Just because Niro agreed with me doesn't mean he's sucking up. You're being overly defensive for no reason. I will not be personally offended if this thread is closed. I love pokemon and I'm just here to talk about it not argue over childish concepts. If it makes you feel any better I'll even ask to have this one closed.

What would have happened if you turned on your Pokemon Blue version and Brock all of a sudden had a Nidoking? You wouldn't cry about it, you'd level the **** up.

Unless you chose Charmander. Then you'd just reset to get Bulbasaur.
