Pokemon generation 5... awesome suckage

I loved 4th generation over all others simply because of the battling mechanics. Physical/special split was the best thing that could have ever happened for competitive pokemon strategy.

For me problems with the game:

GTS is ****ing awful. People just put up a shiny/lv 100/rare pokemon for something impossible
like asking for a lv 9 Reshiram and it just clogs up everything. Even worse,
I heard hacks won't go through that are impossible levels so they will
stay their as long as the idiot wants it. Good job, Nintendo.

The bag interface, and touch screen interface went to hell. HG/SS
had a godly interface, B/W's is a huge downgrade.

No auto run

They made the random encounter rate the highest in any pokemon game. So high, it's common for me to get attacked without taking a step/just tapping up, down, left or right.
Pain in the butt spamming max repels, and I enjoy random encounters, just not every other step

Random battles/ranked only support 3 on 3, triple and double. No 6 on 6
so it's utterly useless to me.

Graphics are underwhelming and look poor

Pokemon sprites look god awful and pixilated

Story is a joke, I predicted the plot twist literally in the first cutscene with
Team Plasma which was

that sage guy was the actual bad guy, not N.

Music has better sound quality but the composition/catchness isn't as good.
Not to mention some songs sound ripped off of Zelda, Mother 3, ect.

C-Gear. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! It seems interesting but it's
only useable with wireless, not wifi. WHY!? And dang does the game really
have to ask to turn it on or not everytime I start the game? Makes soft
resetting hell, and if you say yes it drains battery like there's no tommorow.

Black City/White Forest- really good concepts with a lot of potential turned out to be a big nothing. Even worse, to get the most out of it you have to
do that intralink nonsense (or whatever its calledd)

One of the best new features for me and reason for buying is being able to re-ev pokemon at lv 100 is only
half there because THEY DONT HAVE EV REDUCING BERRIES. THEY HAVENT
EVEN BEEN RELEASED IN DREAM WORLD JAPAN YET. So you need to make sure you remove evs before transferring to gen 5 then better not make a mistake training.

This brings me to last problem: Dream World. Why the **** was this game
sold before they had it running? Now because of the horrible disaster in Japan,
it's on hold. Did I mention you only get 1 hour too? What the ****? They said it's because of traffic reasons,,, naw son, read between the lines. They dont want to spend money
on their servers.


I'd give B/W a 6 or 7/10. I liked it better than D/P/PLt in-game. They did make a honest effort but what I mentioned
above really makes me scratch my head and wonder what the **** they were thinking

Just out of curiosity..... what do you all think of Bisharp?
I ran into him in the Elite 4 and hated his guts. After I beat the game I looked into him and then promptly caught him. I think this dude is going to shine.

ps The cell phone was annoying... I hated it.

I OHKO'd it with a Hi Jump Kick from Scrafty. What a silly defensive typing. It's good because of strong attack combined with STAB Sucker Punch, but that's really about it. The only reason I'm planning on using it in my future team is because I love the flavor of Dark/Steel.

GTS has always sucked. With Pokegen, why bother?

You can set items to Macros. Like Bag>Medicine. Also, the item format has always been terrible. No way to "sort"

More chances for a shiny. or Repels, I can't see why this is that bad. Making money is still easy to afford said repels.

I'll agree with this, it DOES suck, but considering the metagame isn't really developed yet I haven't cared. I probably won't get into it for a year or so anyways.

Really? And the other 4 gens had a better story? Lol. I'm not saying this story was amazing, but for Pokemon it was probably their best. As for music, never cared for Music in Pokemon.

I'm always around internet so I've never cared, but yeah. The asking everytime drives me crazy too.

White Forest has a lot of potential if you lack older games to catch new Pokemon. And for items, since you can't transfer them, Black City is nice. Just sayin'.

1Hour a day isn't that bad. Then again that's all the time I really have to play. I can see that sucking, though.

and they were horrible.
if it weren't for the cool new giratina world in platinum i wouldn't have gotten it at all, and it was really disappointed when i found out only one part had it.
