Uchiharakiri- Okay, okay, now that you've confirmed that your initial "L-canceling my jump" post wasn't just poorly worded and that you truly have no idea what the technique is, I'll help you out.

Edit: Actually, Buzz's approach is more fun. Seriously man, tell us what you think an L-cancel is.

Oh said:
And you fail to state how it does not support my argument at all, you just said it doesn't and disregarded me, frankly annoying behavior on your part.

Do I even need to spell it out for you, kid? You don't even know what L-canceling is. Countless people have illustrated many of the following points:

A) Wavedashing is not a bloody glitch, but rather a simplistic exploit of the physics engine.

B) Items are, as a general rule of thumb, unfair when money's on the line. Randomness does not a fair competition make. If you wanna properly gamble, go to a casino or play the local lottery.

C) Luck has nothing to do with skill. It is a totally different factor altogether.

D) You don't even know WHAT L-canceling is.

E) You think forward smashing nine year olds takes skill.

F) Did I mention you don't know what L-canceling is? Yeah.

Need I say more?

You L-cancel attacks, not jumps. There's nothing to L-cancel after a jump. Jumps don't even have landing lag! Try to talk your way out of this one.
I didn't confirm anything and it really was poorly worded, it's happened to you before I'm sure. Regardless, isn't there some lag involved if you throw an item upwards or something out of a short hop, maybe it must be my eyes or I've been pressing that button for nothing all this time. Room for improvement for everyone though eh?

Is a dash-dance short-hop supposed to be hard?
Also, I just realized that you said dash-dance into a dash short-hop. If you are dash-dancing there's no need to even dash again lol
What if I'm dash dancing not entirely close to the opponent and I decide to go from the dashdance into just a normal dash that goes into a short hop, you're ignoring "the bigger picture"

Thank you, but I prefer to keep some of my IQ. Maybe next time?

facepalm
Just being downright elitist right there, ever stop to wonder you're part of the reason people like me or others start disliking the competitive scene, try being a little nicer.

I think I like my posts better, bud.

Yes, I do know what l canceling is, etc etc.

Smooth Criminal
Hahaha this situation is hilarious, I'm dying here.
I do love getting flamed for trying to better my game, thanks guys, every one of you.

Nice try. I figured you would opt out like this. Your words suggest you have no idea what an L-cancel is. I'm sure you do now, since you looked it up.
Right in my post, guy, I told you I'd give you the answer you wanted, the answer you would not have wanted is that I knew what it was long ago.

So you had to look up the answer.

I haven't seen such severe self-ownage in a LONG time. Way to go!
Once more, it was right in my post. I knew what would be said. This massive group flaming I'm getting right here is elitism at it's best, this is what I've been talking to Hypnotist about the whole time, I use items and consider myself to use them competitively, mess up just once for one of the terms for an advanced technique and suddenly I'm a ****ing idiot everyone should bust on, psh, typical.

Again, no johns.

You brought this whole argument down around your ears by being a nincompoop. You're just pissed off because we proved your *** wrong.

Now get back to writing your Naruto fanfiction, kid.

Edit: Oh, yeah. One more thing:

It's Raikiri. Not "Rakiri."

I'll start being nicer when you lurk more, and you stop arguing with flowery words that attempt to hide the fact that you know little to nothing about this game. If you were really trying to improve your game, you would know what L-Canceling was before you uttered it in a 9th grade level argument.

You know, I like how you assumed me to be a fan fiction kid when you're the one correcting me on what the correct name of the attack is. So I'll save you your high horsedness and tell you that my name is a combination of Uchi and Harakiri, thanks; also I don't see how I was proved wrong. P.s.: I don't write fan fictions.

The point is you had to look up the answer. You should have already known the answer in the first place if you are trying to make a convincing argument.

LOL
I didn't have to look it up, I had already known it by then. I merely posted it because Buzz would assume it is what I would have done the immediate moment he asked me to tell him what it was, that simple.

Again, your comprehension handicap is coming into play. Go back and look at the mosts you made about L-canceling. Now go look at the official definition for L-canceling you so wonderfully cited. Do you see the inconsistencies there? The point is, whether you knew how to do it or not, you clearly did not know what the term L-cancel meant.

And no, it was not a trick question/request. I was not going to make any false claims about you. I just wanted to know if you knew what it meant.

Hmm... I'm wondering if all this nonsense has caused a new distaste for casual in general, both bashers and regular casuals alike among some of you competitves...

This isn't an attempt at a flame more so then a curious thought.

This guy is basically a perfect example of why we hate certain casuals. They are ignorant and won't accept it and try to argue just like this guy is.

If he'd just accept that he doesn't know much about high level Smash and therefore should not debate about it I don't think any of us would have a problem with that.

Good for you. Combining "Uchi" and "Harakiri" is so original! Almost makes me think that you're one of those Japan-o-philes that are obsessed with every single little nuance of the culture. Reminds me of High School all over again.

And do you want proof of how you are wrong and how pathetic your arguments are? Sift through about the thirty-something-odd pages of text. The proof's in the pudding.

Dude, we're just poking fun at you. The point is this-- you've been arguing vehemently about competitive Smash, something you clearly don't know much about. The evidence for this has been laid out pretty clearly.

Clearly you've never played tourney-level Smash, or anything close to it. Stop pretending like you know a lot about it and you'll get flamed less.

I'm just a spectator here, liking competitive and casual gameplay, but one thing I have noticed.

You don't stop saying "high horse"

Capitalization is everything, such as helping your Uncle Jack off a horse, or helping your Uncle jack off a horse.

Also, you're speaking as if tourneygoers are like a disease.

You know the whole evolution of the term "elitist" around here has been interesting. The word has become the new and only way of insulting a competitive (or knowledgeable) player. It's pretty much lost it's meaning, just like calling something gay doesn't really mean anything anymore.

Anyone else notice this? It's just senselessly thrown around so much now.

I understand your reasons... but I always wonder at what point it's best to just let it go and evenually the pest go away on its own.

Still alot of this seems to stem for both sides getting rather defensive... at least that's how I see it.

I may be a casual but I know **** well how to cancel and everything else I've said I can do, it's just you people won't take my word for it because that itself is so easy to do on the internet, sure, it's easy to flame someone being honest.

Honestly the reason we're so "elitist" in the first place is because the scrubs came up and complained to us. If scrubs kept to being scrubs and didn't interfere with what doesn't apply to them then we wouldn't be having this problem.
I never once complained, I've constantly said wave dashing is completely reasonable and the like, as well as other advanced techniques, and that I myself try my best to use them to improve myself.

While most this post is irrelevant to the argument as a whole. I will now tell you that the only manga I read whatsoever, out of all the manga anywhere, is Naruto. At the moment, I look at nothing else Japanese of that category, do not generalize me.

Sorry but I don't feel like the light term of "poking fun" is applicable anymore. I am not pretending I know as much about it as say, Buzz might, I never once said that. I am however very honest when I say I do use these techniques people, seriously.

Joining in 2005, and not posting anything until this year, does not mean you've lurked. Even when you think you've lurked long enough, lurk more. It is never enough.

Also, lurk correctly. If you'd lurked like you claim, you'd know the basic terminology. Don't kid yourself, L-Canceling is incredibly basic.

I do agree with you on the typo thing, though. Everyone makes mistakes. However, no reasonable person would attempt to justify a perfectly debatable topic with information that they do not know, I don't care how tired they may be.

BWAHAHAHAAHA.

That's funny. My patience is now at an end.

Look, kid. We can accept that you play Smash with items. That's all well and fine. What we CAN'T accept is the fact that you are talking out of your *** about something that you know absolutely nothing about. There's nothing "elitist" about us calling you on your **** and you refusing to believe it, despite everything that has been said thus far.

Quoted for truth, idiots have a primitive way of sucking the life out of words, not really the word "gay", though, I wouldn't call someone an elitist unless I hated their way of play.
