Yeah, like that. I was probably gonna do that anyway at some point, to go with the Melee sound effects.

I don't see why we couldn't have Ninten as a costume over Ness? Ninten is in brawl and he's referenced in Earthbound.

Ness in Ninten's outfit? Sure. But Ninten and Ness aren't the same person, so that doesn't fit what the PMBR has outlined as the rules for the ACE.

Another character I'd like to see get more colors instead of a whole new costume is Kirby. I'd like to see his Air Ride colors be used, or some of the ones from Squeak Squad.

More than anything right now I want the Grape color from Amazing Mirror on Kirby.

then you make them the characters in these specific costumes. even something as simple as a blue-ish kirby with a crown would do the job for prince fluff, for example.

Right, but from what I understand, all they're doing for the ACE is adding a separate model and other costumes for that model (or for certain characters, perhaps just more colors of their original model). So it'd have to be a bunch of Kirbies with crowns, which doesn't make sense because Kirby has never worn a crown.

The models are super different, so I can't imagine them putting him over R.O.B.

Okay, hold on. You're talking about ROB's hitboxes on himself. Not referring to him being able to do attacks. Okay.

Well, that's nice and all, but I'm not seeing any issues or visual illusions being cause by the thickness of the model at all since you're probably just going to attack him directly anyway. Especially since I've already had the chance to fight against this plenty of times.

Sure, he sticks out slightly further at the front, but it still seems like you're worrying a bit too much with the details there when it's not that huge of a difference.

Besides, you have any other ideas that could work for him? Feel free to share if any come to mind.

Yeah the collar is what was throwing me off about people thinking it was Shadow Peach. What is that sticking out of her... neck? arm? That... oh wait... I think the collar IS there. The shape of her head is weird if that isn't the collar sticking up on the left side lol... Ah the joys of P:M speculation and such. It FRICKIN SUCKS! It's like the only thing I can think about! lol... It doesn't really suck though... That's just a joke...

I'm all about Thousand Year Door references. While we're at it let's change Peach's entry animation to her changing her wardrobe behind a curtain while a robot watches. Then as an easter egg when the only other opponent is ROB, make it her victory animation also.

the main issue with Fierce Deity Link I feel is for one, he doesn't have a shield. Two, his sword is strictly a 2 handed sword.

This would make him look kind of weird when he attacks, and it also would make him block stuff with his shield even though he's not holding one. There's pretty much no way to make F.D. Link look professional.

Outset Link can keep the Master Sword. The Hero's Sword would look really weird if it were made as long as the Master Sword.

Hello everyone! This is my first post here on these forums.

First of all I want to thank the PMBR for all of their hard work, I'm not from the USA, or even Europe. Just wanted to let you guys know that this mod is EVERYWHERE now, even at my country Jordan in the Middle East.

I'm here to give some suggestions (More like predictions) to the PMBR (Which they probably don't need but I still want to get my word out).

I'm trying to make my list very rational and I hope someone from the PMBR would read it. It's a really long post, and I hope my writing style isn't too boring. But yeah, let's go!

Organized by each character's game:


From The Legend of Zelda :

My own comments: This would be the most rational decision to come up with. If you were going to include let's say Skyward Sword Link instead, let's just leave it at the fact that there actually isn't a boomerang in that game and PMLink's Forward-B is a boomerang. Now, about the other characters (Talking about Zelda/Sheik and Ganondorf) it wouldn't seem right to add the Alt. Costume from Skyward Sword to Zelda and the Ocarina of Time Alt. Costume to Link, it would be just unprofessional (And Ganondorf doesn't even exist in Skyward Sword so yeah).


From Fire Emblem :

Marth - There aren't really any notable "Alt." Costumes from PREVIOUS games, so in my opinion Marth should gain his look from the new FE game "Awakening", which he appeared in as a DLC | Picture: 1.http://i.imgur.com/Cr87g6Y.jpg

Roy - There aren't really any notable "Alt." Costumes from PREVIOUS games (I'm talking about different models, since his Sword of Seal's costume is just a normal recolor which is already included in PM), so in my opinion Roy should gain his look from the new FE game "Awakening", which he appeared in as a DLC | Picture: 1.http://i.imgur.com/Hyg2jsa.jpg

Ike - There aren't really any notable "Alt." My own comments: Some of you might say that Ike should get his Radiant Dawn look but this just contradicts the other Fire Emblem characters which didn't even exist in any way or shape in that game.

Regarding your list, Cerulean:

I don't think having varied character alts. for characters of the same series would be "unprofessional"; the point of Smash is to bring all these characters from games that might have nothing in common into one universe. Having the SAME characters that appear in Brawl/P:M in costumes inspired by their appearances in different games should not be dependent on what the other series characters alts are going to be.

Hell; Dr. Mario, Dry Bowser, Mr. L, and the Shadow Queen are all from different games, so why is the Mario series allowed to have alts. from different games, but not the Zelda series, according to your argument? The P:M staff has already informed us that these costumes will be in the same style and pallet as the default ones, so having outfits look out of place shouldn't be a problem.

Also, there is plenty of potential for great costumes for the characters you marked as none.

The roy and ike alts look pretty neat. Diddy can have a dixie alt with the sfx and stuff, Dk can have funky kong with maybe one new taunt that fits him. Umm yoshi, boshi? And I actually want mega lucario and mega charizard. Ness will go with ninten, and why not masked man for lucas? Finally ice clambers will be replaced by double ganon

You mentioned Mario, and the Zelda series, so my reply is going to be based on those 2.

In Melee:
Link, Zelda/Sheik, Ganondorf and Young Link are from 1 game only, OoT.

In Brawl:
Link, Zelda/Sheik, Ganondorf are from 1 game only, TP. Toon Link is well, Toon Link from his own game.

So you're saying,

In PM:
Link+Link OoT(Which is the only variable since SS's Link doesn't have a boomerang), Zelda/Sheik+Zelda SS(Zelda is shorter there and has a cartoonish look) and Sheik from WHATEVER? (XD), Ganondorf+Ganondorf OoT(Because he doesn't exist in SS) and Toon Link is out of the debate. Please tell me does this even make sense? Instead of going with the OoT costumes to them all? That's just a simple example.

Regarding the Mario series, I don't think that Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser have more than 1 variation from all of their games. Unless you're gonna be like "Melee Bowser" or "Melee Mario" etc... Mario has Doc. Luigi has Mr.L. Peach has Shadow Queen. And Bowser has Dry Bowser. You see they don't have to be from the exact same game, you have to look at the character itself, but also consider its colleagues from its games. If the character and its colleagues have a game together then you should most likely go with it (Like OoT pack), if not then it won't seem unprofessional because the Alt. Costume would be the only possible Alt. to add (Like the Mario Series).

About some of the characters I marked as none, please tell me which one you think has potential for great costumes.

I'm not telling you what should happen and what should not(About Masked Man), I'm just stating that it's not Lucas therefor my argument is actually valid. (And I didn't know they said it may be an exception).

Except that you forget one important fact.... without Ness's hat... his hair will show, and yes, changing items like shorts actually does make it so, Doc is edited for the Mario model probably, so Pajama Ness is edited from the regular Ness.
