No, its not at all. There are no flower graphics for us to use.
Hmm. Well I was completely unaware that it was impossible for one to modify the global effects. Kinda figured it'd be as simple as adding an additional texture file into daisy-peach and PSA'ing it for that particular costume.

Oh well.

It would be kinda cool if each costume had a corresponding color to it. Like, The Red Peach has red hearts, Green Peach has green hearts, so on so forth. If that was possible, it would be cool.

Woah woah WOAH!! What'd I miss? Darn notifications stopped!
Well hey when it comes to alts at least Peach doesn't have it the worst. That honor belongs to Ivysaur X) lol
Yeah, but (s)he has the HOTTEST PALETTES!!

I don't see any difference with Melee Peach against Brawl Peach other than saturation, could someone fill me in? I know that Melee Daisy and Brawl Daisy have differences that need fixing.

So here's what Melee Peach looks like:

(Kirby added to see crown detail)
And Melee Daisy
From comparing the two, you'll see obvious differences like the skin, hair, and crown color. Note how the crown also has flowers around some of its gems. Daisy's crown also has sliver etchings around the top/points of it, while Peach's has more of an engraved look. Their lipstick also seems to vary a bit in color. Daisy's earrings are flowers too, and her brooch as a flower outline. Note the gilded regalia around Peach's brooch--no such regalia is present around Melee Daisy's. Also Peach's dress collar extends up while Melee Daisy's is somewhat flattened. Also look at the shoulderpads between both models. Peach's have bows on them, Daisy's do not. Peach's end with a simple flat pink band, while Daisy's end with protruding petals. Whereas Melee Peach's waistline (corset?) tapers off, Melee Daisy's has a simple white waistband instead. The bottom of Peach's dress has some more gold regalia, which Daisy's lacks, preferring simple white dots. Also Peach seems to have a petticoat of some sort (seen by the sheary pink and darker red at the bottom of her dress) while Daisy has no such petticoat, with her dress ending in white peaks. Lastly, Daisy has light blue heels and Peach has red heels. Their underwear is also differently colored. That is pretty much all the differences.

Also Daisy has a third eye

and the .pcs/.pac files i have have everything BUT the right color for the tan.

idk why this Urks me so badly, it could be my inability to use Photoshop CS5 well at all, or just bad luck with trying to find the info or hex for the right tone/shade, but it just Does.

It would piss me off too, because it's not just so. Can you tell I have OCD yet? haha

Not OCD, CDO.

Compulsive Disorder, Obsessive.

Gotta have acronyms alphabetical.
This scientific article I was reading about glutamate and OCD (/CDO haha), said something like "glutamate is associated with anxiety disorders, like obsessive-compulsive disorder (ODC)" and I almost lost it.

On the topic at hand though, I am wondering about what graphics can be edited and what can't. For instance, how did they make Ike's armor? From scratch? If so, couldn't they make new effect graphics in the same way? Sorry for my inexperience in this, I'm just trying to grasp the logic at least

sigh, these kinds of questions are so valuable, but are often the skill0gap level questions that don't get answered, at least not without being vague.

I've been messing with PS CS5, BrawlBox, CostumeManager, and learning texture editing, model swapping, how to apply fixes, yet so much still not learned (texture/stage/brstm swapping is novice, otherwise yes noted that i know how to do that stuff too.) thats why I wish I knew half of what the PMDT did so I could try and change or fix the minor things that get under my skin.

...like Melee Daisy Peach's Tan. UNOBTAINABLE

No. Warrior Ike is a 3d Model skinned on Ike. It was mode in 3ds max, rigged on Ike's bone tree, and imported into Brawl. Most characters have their main weapon attached to their model, which can be changed per-costume slot (Link's sword, Ike's sword, Pit's swords, Ness's bat, etc)

Articles are a type of GFX that are attached to one single character. Examples are Link's boomerang, Samus's beam, Peach's turnips, Mario's fireballs, Bowser's Flame, etc. These things cannot be edited per costume slot (Dr. Mario was a special case)

GFX are also 3d models, but most are 2D planes. Any character can use these. These are aesthetic graphics in attacks; Fire effects from being hit with an explosion, the water splash when falling in water, dark aura from Mewtwo's and Ganondorf's attacks, smoke when sent flying, etc. Peach's hearts are these types of GFX, so they can't be edited per costume slot.

Thorough as always, Buds <3.

I definitely understand the logic behind Dr. Mario being an exception, and the way you explained everything else definitely gives me a clearer scope on what rules the graphics have to go by. I'm guessing things like Peach's crown, the golf club, frying pan, and tennis racket are considered articles as well?

If I might (on the verge of being annoying), that would mean that Kimono Peach would have to wear a crown? I ask because I'm not sure and don't know if it has to be attached to her model (from a standing position) and it might look odd for Kimono Peach to be wearing a crown in addition to all the other stuff she has going on in her hair for that costume. That would mean when she uses Fair, the crown would have to be used, because it's an article and can't be edited?

Feel free to answer this whenever; I feel like I'm being incessant/annoying, and really you can answer this at any time. Thanks for being so helpful this far regardless--I feel like I know so much more from a theory standpoint

Hey, always (potentially) have the option for maybe a headdress of some sort like a wreath of Flowers (ex; Uihara from Index/Railgun) or even just make the crown a festive color like light pink, platinum, or even make it look like a Festival-bought toy (ex. Kitsune Masks, Self-caught goldfish, ect. a cardboard/paper crown isn't against viability here.)

TIL: Peach's Fair swings her crown.
sigh, i dont know what TIL means D;

otherwise, I know that FAir uses the crown, thats why i was trying to suggest if at all ways of making it kinda match the potential kimono dress peach alt. we'vve been discussing. even a minor color change helps, really, I feel a princess should still have her crown no matter the occasion lol.

Nah, her crown and other weapons are on her actual model. So they can be unique to each costume.

EDIT: Usually, if the weapon stays attached to the character, it's not an article. There are only a few exceptions, like Lucas's snake and Snake's weapons

Oh yay! That means Daisy's crown can be edited to its original form! I wonder if they'd change the ring to a more flowery one as well?

This is probably something that could be appreciated by some of you guys - let's replace Ragnell (Ike's sword) with Alondite (Black Knight/Main boss of Ike's games' sword) for his Black Armored costume.

Sure, it would only make his sword silver, but hey, it'd be new, fitting, and a fresh change.

I wish that would change, but it probably can't be.

EDIT: I kinda wish there was a good reason to give Ike the Regal Sword from Path of Radiance, seeing as how that's his signature weapon besides Ragnell..

It's possible:

You're welcome, ConDeeCas ConDeeCas .
If Project M doesn't do it, someone will. Normally I would, but it requires work I'm not cut out to do. To start, the proportions are different... Meowser's shell is smaller, arms are longer, things like that.... And that tail needs some crafty work. And, naturally, Meowser has a lot more polygons. Brawlser's only at 8,753, while Meowser is at a whopping 23,876, and that's excluding the extra model bits for the shell-spins. Of course, that's to be expected given the Wii U's power.
